Glaz- ier. There was an exchange of gifts and the balance of the eeen- ing was spent in dancing. 11. Perry Plumsteel Henry Perry PlumSteel died in' Clinton Public Hospital on Satur- day morning, December 6, after a short illness. He was in his 78th year. Mr. Plums)teel was the eldest son of the late Henry and Marg- aret Plumsteel. In 1911 he mar- ried Effie Rathwell, who died 28 years ago. He was--a member of Ontario Street United Church and until recently was active in the church, and, was a member of the choir. ,He was a member of the Mason- ic Order and had filled the mast- er's chair in the Clinton Lodge. He was in business in Clinton for more than 40 years in partner- ship with his brother William; sel- ling the business to Ken Pickett and Robert Campbell in the sum- mer of 1946. The Plumsteel store was at the location now occupied by Jill's Clothing. He is survived by .two daugh- ters, Mrs. Charles (Marie) Brand- on, Highway 8, east of Clinton, and Mrs. Karl (Lorna) D'Aubin, Toronto; two sons, Harry, on the London Road, and Lawrence, prin- cipal of Seaforth. District High School; one sister, Miss Emma Plurnsteel, on the staff of Clinton District Collegiate Institute, and two brothers, William and Roy, all of Clinton; eight grandchild- ren. Service was from the Beattie Funeral Home, Clinton, on Mon- day afternoon by Rev. Grant Mills, of Ontario Street United Church. Interment was in Clinton Ceme- tery. Pall-:bearers were Edgar Rath- well, Gordon Rathwell, Milton Wiltse, George Shipley, Edward Welsh, Aloe Brandon. Flower-bear- ers were B. J. Rathwell, A, J.
