At WA Evening
St. Paul's chancel Guild held a
most enjoyable supper and party
on Thursday evening, November
28, in the' parish hall. It was a
buffet type affair, the "buffet"
groaning under plates of turkey,
relishes ,salads, bowls of Steaming
scalloped potatoes and dishes of
hot rolls. The dessert (a special,
secret concoction) was an espec-
ial delight. '
The Guild had invited members
of the choir and the servers guild
to join them on this happy occas-
ion, After supper„ the Rev. C, S.
Inder thanked the ladies, on behalf
of the visitors, for their kindness
and for the excellent repast en-
joyed' by all. These remarks
were seconded by Charles Cook.
Replying on behalf of the Chancel
Guild, the president, Mrs. G. M.
Counter, said that it had been a
pleasure to entertain their friends
and co-workers,
The• choir sang several numbers
and favourite hymns. Mrs. Lillian
McKinnon ran an interesting and
most tantalizing competition which
was enjoyed by all, A short bus-
iness meeting brought the evening
to a close.
