Exeter Weekly
Subscription
Rate Now '„A 100
"Rising cost in newsprint, metal
arid other material which go into
the production of. a weekly news-
paper,", is cited as the reason for
the Exeter Times-Advocate find-
ing it necessary to increase its
subscription price.
Effective September 3, a year's
subscription to the Exeter weekly
newspaper has been $4.00 a year in
Canadaeand $5,00 in the U. S. A.,
instead of the former price of $3.00
a year in Canada and $4.00 a year
in 'the U. S. A. (the present Clin-
ton News-Record subscription
rate).; Single copies of the Exeter
newspaper now sell for ten cents
each, instead af the previous seven
cents each.
Many weekly newspapers, part-
icularly in the Central Ontario re-
gion have already been raised.,to
the higher rates a year or more
now. Numerous smaller weekly
papers that have 'been $2.50 a year
have been advanced to $3.00 a year
in Canada.
