YPU Meets
Tile-regular fortnightly meeting
of the, Goshen and Varna United
Church Young. People's Union was
held on- Monday night, The new
president, Miss Joan McClinchey,
presided, and there were 1.7 pres-
ent,
. Bob MeClymont; the. Steward-
ship Convener, gave an interesting
paper on "Sharing." Recreation
included a sing-song. The next
meeting will be on Monday, Dec-
ember 9.

Raymond Cann was the high in-
dividual in the beef section for
the entire competition and receiv-
ed the Royal Winter Fair Gold
Medal which is awarded to the
high individual in each section. As
always this competition was very,
keenly contested and the team
members have gained:1,a great deal
from participating.
4-H Grain and Corn Club
The three entries in the 4-H.
Corn Club section for all, of On-
tario except the counties of. Essex,
Kent, Lambton, Middlesex and
Elgin, from the Exeter 4-H Grain
Corn Club stood first, second, and
fifth. The first prize entry was
shown by Erie Finkbeiner, Cred-
iton; the third prize corn exhibit
was shown• by Glenn Greb, Zurich
and fifth prize by Garry Rowcli'ffe,
RR 3, Exeter.
In the 4 H Grain• Club section
the entry shown by Nornian Cart-
wright, ER 1, Londesboro, stood
25th and Don Hemingway's entry
from Brussels stood 34th in the
same class in which there were 92
entries. Ken Alton, RR 7, Luck-
now, a member of the Lucknow
4-H Grain Club exhibited the 13th
prize barley in the 4-II Club sec-
tion.
