Woman's Auxiliary was held at
the home of Miss W, Thompson
with Mrs. M, G. Durham as hos-
tess. There were 21 present, In
he absence of the president, Mrs.
L. Mackinnon presided and opened
the meeting by reading the Epistle
for St. Andrew's Day, Romans.
LO: 1,15, She also gave "thoughts
on St. Andrew's Day" from the
Living Message.
This was followed by the Litany,
and Mrs, S. Thomas gave Prayer
Partner's prayer for Miss Frances
Hawkins, Negoya, Japan. The
committee reports showed progress
in practically every department.,
It was'decided to purchase 100
church calendars and the GA un-
der the direction of Mrs. C. Van-
Demme will assist in selling them.
.Mrs. Clifford Epps, secretary, re-
viewed the year's work which
showed a year of achievement and
progress. As mentioned at the
previous Meeting, it was 70 years
ago this month the Woman's Aux-
iliary was organized here. The
Auxiliary has one. charter member
in the person of Miss Doan, whe
is a patient in the hospital here.

Marys, returned recently after
spending two weeks in Capreol, vis-
iting-Mrs, Porter's relatives, While
there they were surprised by about
35 relatives on their 25th wedding
anniversary, A surprise party as
also given to Mrs. Porter's sister,
Mrs. I ,W..Barrand, Capreol, Both
sisters were giVen several gifts of•
silver and corsages.- The party
was held at Mr. and Mrs. Sid Pit-
re's home,
this special event. Rev. C. S. In-
der showed a very interesting film
entitled "Younger Brother" which
revealed the difficulties of a young
Japanese man who, being.a second
son, was cut off from the land
which had been his home for many
years. In order to Make a life for
himself he went to the city and
joined 'a construction crew, here
he came in contact with a Christ-
ian teacher who gave him a new
outlook on life and he realized he
to could make some contribution
toward spreading the gospel.
The December meeting will be
held in the church on St, Andrew's
Day, November 30, at ten a.m.,
when a. corporate communion and
installation of officers will take
place, followed by a short busin-
ness period in the Owen Memorial
Hall. Mrs. Charles Wise assisted
the hostess in serving delicious.re-
freshment, The rector closed the
meeting with, prayer and Mrs.
Mackinnon expressed appreciation
of the members.

The Bluelbells of Clinton enter-
tained the ladies. of London ,Road
and friends ,at the Commercial
Hotel on Saturday afternoon.
There was a delightful exchange
of ideas, and keen interest was
shown for the 50 bed jackets de-
signed by the Bluebells for the
aged, and sickly in the community.
Many thanks are offered to all
those who have helped this young
organization to function.

MEET NOVEMBER 26
The Mother's Study Group of
Wesley-Willis United Church will
mbet on Tuesday evening, Novem-
ber 26, at 8.30 o'clock, at the home,
of Mrs. Wilfred Jervis, Mrs. Bill
1Viurch Will be in charge of the
meeting. Roll call will be ans-
wered by a verse from a favourite
hymn. It is hoped that all Moth-
ers connected with the church will
feel most welcome to attend this
meeting.
The Girls Club of St Andrew's
Presbyterian Church, was held in
the Sunday School room of the
church on November 12, with the
president, Mrs. J. E. "Dick" Jacob
in the chair. Mrs. Howard Cowan
read the Scripture.
Mrs. Bob Morgan read a chapter
from the study book and led in
prayer.
Mrs. Frank Mutch gave the
treasurer's report and reported a
very successful, bazaar. The sec-
retary's report was read by Mrs.
Alan Graham and roll call was

Community Credit Union Ltd,
were returned for another year,
at the annual meeting of the or-
ganizatick held in the agricult-
ural office board rooms last Fri-
day night,
president A. "Red" Garon, was
chairman of the meeting, during
which three new members of the
stuff took an oath of office:

ier and Janet Elliott, 'This is
a rather unique ceremony, carried
out at each annual meeting, and
all new 'members of staff, or of
executive, are asked to take part,
The Credit Union declared a
3%% dividend to members again
this year, as ,it has done for the
-past three years. Of the net in-
come. of $1.14754 for the year,
20% was placed in the guarantee
fend; 3% in the edecetion.fund,
and after the dividend, the bel,
ante _was put into contingency
reserve fund.
At present the Credit Union
has a membership of over 1260
compared with 988 last year, and
a total; of $250,049.64 share bal-
ance plus $11,064.36 in deposit
balance.

Street. United Church met in the
church parlours with Mrs. 0, J.
Stanley, president, presiding. The
devotional period on "Peace"was
conducted,' by Mrs. Roy Wheeler.
Mrs Grant Mills gave a very in-
formative talk on "Unpack your
suitcase and live." Mrs. Ruth Knox
sang a solo.
Final plans were made for the
bazaar to be held at the church
on December 7. Members are re-
minded to hand in their boxtops.
Lunch was served by gronp 3,
with Mrs. Alvin Lobb and Mrs.
George Colclough, conveners.

The annual Fowl Supper of Clin-
ton Lodge 100F No. 83 will be
held in the /Lodge Room, on Wed-
nesday, November 27, at 7 o'clock.

visiting brethren will be welcome.
