Late autumn marks the prelude
to the feverish preparation for
CoMmencemerif which will take
place in late November or early
December.
,aDiers glee club, under the dir-
ection of J. Ross Middleton, shows
promise of another fine perform-
ance, Musical selections from the
famous Broadway musical, "Okla-
homa" will be sung by a mixed
choir, and, for the first time,• by
separate boys' and girls' choral
groups,
Phines's Filharmonics, the new-
ly-formed,student orchestra which
made its surprise debut last year,
will again present several popular
songs in its own distinctive style.
Much new talent has been added
from CDel's freshman class. The
Filhanmonics, directed by Miss C.
Ifaig, will undoubtedly create a
"new tone". A. new set of drums,
proudly owned by the school seems
to insure the permanency of the
orchestra.
