spend two weeks vacation at the
home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Malcom Tongs.

Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Makins re-
turned home on Wednesday even-
ing of last week after having left
on Sunday ~on a motor trip to
Michigan,. They also visited the
Jack Miner bird sanctuary at
Kingsville, Ontario.
John Peacock who returned
from Newfoundland on October
19, 'visited his parents, the Rev.
and Mrs. C. E. Peacock, at the
Parsonage until Sunday night

Mrs. John Chuff was taken to
Clinton Public Hospital by ambul-
ance on Monday afternoon, suffer-
ing from a back injury.
Miss Ruth E. Hayman returned
to The Little Inn, on ThurSday af-
ter having been with her brother
and family in Belleville for a fort-
night.
Miss Irene Loftus, Toronto, is
the guest of Miss Ruth E. Hayman
for a couple of weeks.
Misses M. and R. Kruke, Dear-
born, were the guests of Mr. and
Mrs. H. H. Ormond over Friday
night.
Miss, A. M. Stirling returned
home on Friday after having visit-
ed in Toronto for two weeks.
Mr. and Mrs. Hugh 1VICLaren
and Christine who' came on Satur-
day, October 19 to visit Miss Jose-
phine Stirling, were called home to
Port Elgin on the following Mon-
day owing to the illness and sub-
sequent death of Mr. Mctaren's
nephew by marriage, 5. Elliott.

Detroit, were at their cottage on
Louisa Street for the weekend.

death of their brother, Richard H.
Peck. The late Mr. Peck had been
with hiS sister, Mrs. Edward
Schnell for six weeks before being
taken. to hospital in London on
Thanksgiving Day,
Mrs. Fred MaEwen returned
home on Friday after having spent
a fortnight in London.
Dr. and Mrs. Ralph Nicholls,
London, and guest, Dr. Stevens, of
Imperial College, London, Eng-
land, were with Mrs. Nicholl's
mother, Mrs. F. W. McENVen over
the weekend.
Mrs. Russel G. Cox and small
son Russel, returned to their home
in Calgary, Alta., on Saturday via
TCA from Crumlin Airport. Mrs.
Cox came east the second week in
