The date for the oncoming deer
season has been officially set for
Huron, Perth, Bruce and Grey
Counties as November 11 to 14
inclusive. Shotguns only in Huron
and Perth.' Rifles can be used in
Bruce and Grey, No dogs can be
run in any of the four counties.
This year there will also be a
deser season for archers on Mani-
toulin Island, October 19 to No-
vember 14 inclusive. This requires
a regular deer license and if a deer
is taken the hunter is not entitled

'Me squirrel season opens on
November 11 through. to the 30th.
I Bag limit is five per day. Pheas-
ant season opens October 26 to
November 2. Bag limit is three
cocks per day.
Recently there were 96 firearms
sold at an auction held by the
Department of Lands and Forests.
These wore all seized weapons and
the majority of them taken over
the lack of possessing a license. It
seems rather foolish that some peo-
ple, for the sake of saving one
dollar, could risk the loss possibly
of a valuable-firearm.
