in a crash , on Highway 4, south
of Brucefield a week ago.
Admitted to Clinton public Hos-
pital suffering chest injuries was
Andrew Swan, Brucefield,
Police investigation showed the
Swan machine was in collision with
vehicle .operated by James Brit-
nell, Goderich, Huron County en-
gineer.

For the reception hi Armstrong's
Restaurant, Exeter, the bride's
mother received in navy blue suit
with corsage of pink carnations
and the groom's mother assisted
in navy blue sheer' with corsage
of pink carnations.
Following .a wedding 'trip, to
Niagara Falls and other' points
south, the young couple are living
in Clinton.

on Saturday afternoon; Oetober 19,
when their daughter Joyce Marie
became the bride of Kenneth R,
Scotchmer, Hayfield, son of Mr,
and Mrs. Roy Scatchmer, also of
Bayfield. The Rev, T, S. Pitt,
Varna, conducted the double-ring
ceremony...
Given in marriage by her father,
the bride was lovely in royal blue
velvet wearing a corsage of yellow
'mums.
Maid of honour wai..the bride's
sister, Miss Lois Webster, ,,also of
Varna, who wore brown trimmed
with white angora, and wore a
corsage of yellow 'mums;
,Groomsman was Robert Web-
ster, Varna.
At the reception which followed
in The Little Inn, Bayfield, the
bride's mother received in Peacock
Blue crystalette with white acces-
sories, and the groom's mother as-
sisted in picortine black crepe With
white llama metallic trim with
white accessories: Both wore cor-
sages of pink- 'mums.
For 'travelling the .bride donned
a dress of brawn wool, with black
coat and coral accessories and a
corsage of yellow 'mums. After
their wedding trip the young,
couple plan to live in Bayfield.

en's Missionary Society of St, An-
drew's Presbyterian. Church was
held at the home of Mrs. G. D.
Robertson on Thursday with a
goad attendance.
The president, Mrs, R. W. Mc-
Kenzie gave the call to worship
with Mrs, Allan Dunbar and Mrs.
William Shaddock giving the med-
itation and prayer from Psalm 95,
Mrs. Robert Scott read the min-
utes and Mrs, John Snider the
treasurer's statement in the ab-
sence of Mrs. J. R.
A duet "Wonderful Saviour”
was sung by Mrs. Ron McCann
and Mrs. D. J. Lane.
An interesting and informative
address on India, 'where she had
been a Missionary with the Irish
Presbyterian church, was given
by MM. Donald McDonald, Hen-
sall, mrs, Roberton expressed the
thanks of the meeting to the,
speaker. A hymn followed by pray-.
er by Mrs. Lane closed the
meeting,
The Society decided to help the
Synodical in donating supplies to
Peranaiwian Home in Paris. Mrs.
R.oberton and Mrs, McLennan
served refreshments.
The '19th International Red
Cross Conference will be held in
New-Delthi in October, 1951. The
last conference was held in Tor-
onto in 1952,
