Sharon and Heather, who have
been at Golden Lake for the sum-
mer returned to the village on
Saturday with their trailer home
and have located at their property
on Catherine Street.
Miss Elizabeth Weston: entered
Clinton Public Hospital on Monday
morning, suffering with her hip
which was broken over a year ago.
On Wednesday morning. she was
taken by ambulance to Victoria
Hospital, London, for further surg-
ery.
Mrs. Kenneth Brandon and two
children, Lynn and Karen, return-
ed home on Saturday after visit-
ing her parents, Mr. and Mrs J.

trip to Montreal. After spending
the summer With their niece, Mrs.
E. W. Oddleifson, they left on
aVronday morning for their respec-
tive homes in Enid, Oklahoma.

the nursing staff of the Hospital,
for Sick Children, Toronto, visited
her parents, the Rev. and Mrs.
E. Peacock, the Parsonage, for a
few days the first of last week
prior to her. marriage in Aurora

The •church was beautifully dee-
orated with white, peach and or-
-chid gladioli with lighted Candel-
abra for this double -ring cerem-
ony, performed by the Rev. H. J.
Herliky.
Given in marriage by her father,
the bride was charming in a bal-
lerina length gown of band clipped
chantilly lace and net over white
slipper satin It. was fashioned
with a snugly fitted strapless bo-
dice aver 'which. was Worn a chant,-;
illy lace bolero with lily point
sleeve's arid Peter Pan collar. Tier
finger-tip veil of silk illusion fell
from a crown of seed pearls and
irredeacent sequins, and she car-
ried pink and white roses.
(Attending the bride were her
sister, Miss Dorothy Solonik, wear-
ing a. ballerina length full -skirted
gown of yellow net over yellow
taffeta, Her bouquet was of white
glads and yellow carnations, and
the groom's sister, Mrs, Franeis
Anderson, Science Hill, who was
attired in a similarly fashioned
gown in pink. Shhe carried White
and pink carnations. •
-Groomsman was Ms brother Stu-
art Sturgeon, and the ushers were
trrothers of the bride, Harold and
Gordon Solonik,
'Soloist was Mrs. Stuart Sturg-
eon who sang, "rn walk beside
you."

bride's mother received wearing a
black dress with pink accessories
and her corsage was of pink and
white carnations. She was assisted
by the groonfs mother who wore

The bride's table, centred by the
three tier wedding cake was at-
tractively decorated with -gladioli
and fern.
The bride's gifts to her brides-
maids were white Bibles and the
groornts gilfts to the groomsman
and ushers were cuff links.
About 65 guests were present
from Preston, Clinton, Dashwood,
Port Huron, -London, Tillsonburg,
Milton, St. Petersburg, Science
Hill, and Bayfield.

Son Of Mr, and Km. Thema! Castle
was bora in Beyfield, May 2, 1931
and -received his -education here.

where- they were employed in him-
bering. George left that ()ovat-
ion to drive a gravel truck for
Artivp-Pitchitor in road censtruct-
ion in the vicinity. He was killed
instantly when the three-,tott truck
he was driving left the road and
turned over in the •clitich, on Sep-
tember 8, 1057. News of the fat-
ality caused a great shock not only
to Members ofhis family but the
whole village, He had planned to
come home- later in the -month.
Besides his parentshe is surviv-
ed by three brothers, 'Thomas and
Kenneth Bayfield; Ronald, Okot,
oks, Alta. and two sisters, Gerald-
ine (Mrs. Lloyd withal), London;
• Marion (Mrs, Russell Cox) Cal-
gary,

Cpl. Lloyd Westlake, Provincial
Constable was here over the week-
end. On his return . to Kitchener
on Monday, he was accompanied
by his wife and two children,
Ricky and Catherine Ann who
have spent the summer with her
parents, 1Vfr. and MO. Malcom
Toms.

South, was with his parents at the
Parsonage from Wednesday until
Saturday.

at the home of Mrs. H. H. Orniond
on Wednesday of last week, Mrs.
C. W. Brownspresided for the busi-
ness session, • Mrs, D. MaeDalit
Hensall, took the study period.,
Mrs. Ormond gave a very inter-
esting talk on some hymns which
Mrs. R,. Jackson played on the
organ. Following the closing pray-
er, Mrs, Ormond served refresh-
ments.
Guild Meeting:
Trinity Church Guild met . at
the Parish Hall last Tuesday even-
ing. The reetor, the Rev. E, J.
Harrison opened the meeting with
prayer,
Mrs. Percy Weston presided. The
minutes were read by MTS. Merton
IVIerner and financial report by
Mrs, Fred Weston.
Church cleaning was discussed
and the members sewed carpet
rags. It was decided to quilt at
the next meeting.
The rector closed the meeting
and the hostess, Mrs. J. M. Stew-
art served lunch.
