A reunion of six former teachers
at Clinton Public School, was en-
joyed on Sunday afternoon at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Willis Van-
Egmond. George Jefferson, prin-
cipal; Miss Hattie Courtice, Grade
2; Mrs, Frank McGregor (Vera
Pepper); Mrs. Harvey Taylor
(Margaret Cudrnore); Mrs. Clyde
Carter (Evelyn Doherty, Glacier-
ich); Mrs, Willis VanDgniond (Vi-
ola Fraser) all taught on the staff
of the local school at the same
time, about 1930.
Originally planned as a picnic
on the lawn, inclement weather
changed the plans, and supper
was ,served smorgasbord style.
Also attending was Mr. Clyde
Carter, London; Miss Sybil Court-
ice, Clinton; 'Frank McGregor; Mr.
and Mrs. John McGregor; Harvey

The Women's Missionary Soc-
iety of St. Andrew's Presbyterian
Church met at the home of Mrs.
William Shaddock on Tuesday.
Mrs. W. T. Blacker read the Scrip-
ture lesson and Mrs. Shaddock led
in prayer. Mrs. R. W. McKenzie
presided.
Mrs. Robert Scott read the min-
utes and the program for the Rally
of Huron Presbyterial to be held

was reviewed and plans made to
attend.
The regular Thank-offering of
the society will 'be held in Octob-
er with Mrs. Donald McDonald,
Hensall, as guest Speaker. From
the study book "The Church in
South East Asia", Mrs. J. R. Mak-
ins told of Burma and the mission-
ary effort in that country.
The president gave out copies
of a Bible Quiz sent in by a former
member. A hymn and prayer clos-
ed the meeting. Mrs. John Snider
assisted the hostess in ,serving re-
freshments.

After the opening hymn, Miss
W. O'Neil, in the absence of the
president, conducted the business,
The minutes of the last meeting
and the treasurer's report were
read. Mrs. Jefferson reported on
the travelling basket,
Mrs. E. H, Epps then presided
for the program. Mrs. L. Jervis
read the Scripture lesson and led
in prayer. Mrs, N, Nediger sang
two delightful solos, accompanied
by Mrs. Hearn, Mrs. E. H. Epps
contributed two entertaining read-
ings.
Mrs. R. Jenkins introduced Al-
bert Livermore Who showed beaut-
iful and interesting color slides
of his European tour and some loc-
al scenes, Miss W. O'Neil extend-
ed thanks to Mr. Livermore. The
Mizpah benediction closed the
meeting, after Which -lunch was
served by Group two.
