THI7 NEW swimming pool which was put

Clinton's small fry and older folk, too, is, --as
we see it, the first step'hr what could well
be a continued effort towards rnuniciipally
organized recreation for the town:
Something that Town Council has never
taken too great an interest in, is the support
of sports antivitieS. The load has •fallenon
the willing shoulders of the service clubs, to
supply both the funds and the leadership in
any sports program which is .undertaken.
This work by the service clubs has been
tivoll done, but it has necessitated the finding
of experts within the ranks of those men

NQW T$AT it is mid-September, and the
goingg-Iback-to school e,oeitment has subsided -
into. a regular day -to -,day affair, it really is not
tea long until municipal election time.
Sure it will be a couple of months before
official nomination; time, but a fewmoments
now to give thought toe providing Clinton, with.
the best ,possinlls'-• candidates for the various
municipal .posts, would `not be spent. foolishly.
In fact such moments; would be time spent
intelligently 'and to the advantage of the entire,
community,

the 'youngsters, it is necessary that some way
be found to supply paid and permanent re-
creational leadershi
