This fall the 441 Clubs will
take up the 'project "Working with
Wool," to begin after the Leaders
Training "School on Oct'o'ber 22, 23
in Clinton and on October 24, 25
in Wingh'am. The girls will study
the tykes .of wool aina.terials, the
care and pressing of • wool and
will Make a wool skirt. A high
enrolment in this project is ex-
pected.

Miss Marion Huck, Toronto, surf --.
fered a heart .attack at the suMn-
nlrer cottage Q the Rev, D. J.
Lane at Port Sight Beach and
died in the Sa! geen Mernorkal
liospital later,
Mils Huck was the daughter
of the late Martin Huck and Sarah
Clbittick, Walkerton and sister of
Madelein, Mrs, D. J. Lane, Clinton.
Rev. Maurice McNabb, Port >
gin Presbyterian Church.conducted
a funeral- service at the Pam,
funeral home on August 31.. The
remains were eenveyed to Walker-
ton and interred in the family plot
in that town,
MRS,, CATHERINE 1 SAGEMAN
&Mrs, L. R, MacMillen was cal-
led. to London on Wednesday night
August 28, owing to .the fatal
accident ' which befell her sister,
Mrs, Catherine Sageman, 129 Giles
Street, London. Mrs, Sageman
had just stepped off the curb on
Iamilton Road at 7.30 p.m,, when
she was bit by a car, driven by
James Cody. She sustainedfrac-
cuts and internal injuries, w'in'ch
were treated at Victoria Hospital',
She died at 12,45 am, on Friday
morning. ,An autopsy was per-
fornned. Mrs, MaclViillen came
home{ for the weekend and returned
to London with her husband for
the funeral on Monday, from the
Evans funeral chapel. It was .con-
ducted by the Rev, G. E, Pearce,
rector of St. David's Church of
which the deceased was a member,
Interment was in Woodland Cen -
etery.
Born in London, Mrs. Sageman
was 58 years of age She was a
daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs.
A. Cushman, Her husiband ,pre-
deceased her 11 years ago and
she resided with a daughter, Mrs.
Lloyd Acheson, London,
Surviving also are another
daughter, Mrs. F. Bishop, Lon-
don and a son, Kenneth, Los
Angeles and three sisters, Mrs: R.
Heard, Toronto; Mrs. Harry Dean,
London and Mrs, R, L, MacMiilen,

ing of all parties interested in support of or
opposing the following by-law.

A BY-LAW OP THE CORPORATION OF T11T COUNTY OF
HURON FO REGULATE THE LOCATION OF BUILD-
INGS AND STRUCTURES ON LAND ADJACENT TO
COUNTY ROADS.
WHEREAS, it is deemed to be necessary and 'desirable to
regulate the location of buildings and structures on land adjac-
exit to certain .county roads;
AND WHEREAS, authority is granted under Section 30(a)
of The Highway Improvement Act as amended by Section 2 of
The Highway improvement Amendment Act 1954.to exercise
such parer subject to the -approval of the Municipal Board,
The Council of the Corporation of the County of Huron
enacts as follows;
0) No :peratet shall, deed any building or structure, any part of
whieh ia- located ci85et to the nearest limit of any of the
County roads or parte of the County roads, hereinafter
defined than— , r-
25 feet where the road is 100 feet w,cie,;
42 feet where the road is 66 feet wide,
and in no case closer to the centre line of the original`
, road allowance than 75 feet.
(2) No person shall erect or install gasoline pumps:
(a) closer than 60 feet from, the centre line of the
original road allowance
(h) On a curve or the crest of a hill
(e) Ion the tangent to a horizontal or vertical curve
where the sight distance is less than 800 feet in
each direction.
(3) The County roads or•parts of. County roads defined by this-,
by-law are as follows:
The entire county road system as defined in Schedule
"A" of ay Law No. 23, 1954, same and •except such parts
of the County road system which lie within the limits of -
any Town, Vililage, or 'Police Village within the county of
Huron,

(4) The CoipIoration of the County of Huron, by their Clerk,
may give notice to the Owner or Oeeuipant of any land
requiring hiim tO relnnove or alter any btti ding or structure
meted' after the passing of this By -Law that does not
