ronto, spent the weekend with
friends in Goderich Township and
visited his mother, who is very
low at present, in hospital at God-
erich.
Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Elsciale
and Dick, Noranda, visited last
week with Mr. and M. Fred
Middleton. They were accomp-
anied halve by their son, William,
who spent the summer with Mr. -
and Mrs. Donald Middleton.
Mr, William Townsend had a
narrow escape one day last week.
He. went into the bull's pen, The
bull charged pian and knocked him
down. Ile called his wife who was
nearby and she came with a pitch-
fork and drove the bull off while
Bill crawled to safety. Lucky to
get out with some bruises, bout no
serious harm done.

Glen Pickard wasworking
at Mr, Bauer's bringing in straw
on Saturday, and coming in with
the last load, in some manner fell
off the tractor and when found
was unconscious, with the heel of
his foot 'bellow the tractor wheel.
He was rushed to Clinton Public
Hospital where it Was discovered
that no bones were broken. One
eye was badly cut, but he is get-
ting along nicely.
