Clinton News -Retard Published Irl the Heart' (3f Hurl.- C+ untyr (By Don Epps) DEER •SEASON In accordance to the large amount of discussion I have heard about the oncoming fall season on deer, I have called on our local conser- vation officer, Roy Bellinger, who was only too plehsed to pass along this information. At the County Council's meet- ings in Huron District this year it was decided to have deer seasons in their respective counties, pro- vided neighbouring counties would do likewise, These counties com- prise of Bruce, Grey, Heron, Perth, Waterloo, Oxford, Wentworth, Halton and Brant. One county alone woad not ap- prove of a deer season, this being the county of Wellington. Since then the County of Waterloo, as it borders. on Wellington, has stat- ed that if Wellington does not. have a deer season they will not have one. 71f the remaining counties' take the same attitude; the prospect for deer hunting in 1957 in Huron District; looks dull to say the least. Perhaps through • the un- sportsmanlike behaviour of a very few deer hunters in former sea- sons have placed the enjoyment of Many in jeopardy. 0 Chicken Barbeque Attended by 80 (By our Hensall Correspondent) .Eighty people attended the open air baxtbeque held at Jerry Mof- fet'ss farm on the London Road, Hag growers and their wives from Seaforth, Hensall, Zurich and Kip - pen enjoyed the evening, sponsored by L. 1Vltckl'e and Son, Purina deal- ers, ealers, Hensall.
