The maid of honor was the bride's sister, Miss Marjorie Medd, London) and another sister Miss Anna Medd, also of London, was bridesmaid. They wore similar gowns of .crystalette! charm in bal- lerina-length with full skirts and niatchhig feather pillbox hats. The maid of honor wore, pink and car- ried a bouquet of pink carnations and the bridesmaid was: in blue with a bouquet of blue carnations. The flower girl was Joan Wil- liams, sister of the bbidegroom, wearing a • floor-length gown of yellow pleated nylon, matching headdress, and carrying a. basket of mixed summer flowers. She was as- sisted by the bridegroom's mother, who wore a mulberry dress with pink accessories. The bride and bridegroom left on a wedding trip to Northern Ontario. For travelling the bride chose a powder blue linen sheath dress with blue and white acces- sories, On their return they will reside in Kitchener. Father And Son Honoured In Hensall Farewell (By our Iferisall Correspondent) William Venner, better known as Fat to his many friends, and his son Jim, who reside east of Hensall, are going to leave that community where Mr. •Venner has resided for over 50 years. They were honored at a presentation on August 23 when some fifty neighbours and friends met at their home and presented them with a platform rocker, The presentation address was read by Percy Harris, with mer Dalrymple, Tom Brilltnell,. and Percy Harris arranging the affeir. The evening was spent in cards' and dancing, Step dance selections by Fred Harburn, Bah Hatter and Jack 1WCINTiebni, and guitar selections by Jack Reid were enjoyed. Refreshments were served. The driver of the high speed car jammed on his brakes and the car went into a violent skid, It shot off the road, clipped a tree, then smashed head-on into another tree.
