an accordian number by Miss Lor-
raine Hinsolv, a reading by Mrs.
Ed, Davies,
The guest of--.honor was called
to the front and seated in a dec-
orated chair and Mrs. Ronald
Rathwell read an address extend-
ing congratulations and best wish-
es. any useful and lovely gifts
were presented her by Mrs. Scott
and Mrs. Elmer Sproul. After Mar-
lene tad opened her gifts she
thanked everyone.

the weekend at Pontiac, Mich.,
with Mr. and Mrs. Williaan Thom-

for the west 48 years ago.

weeks vacation in Ottawa, with

for the wedding of MISS Josephine
McIver and Michael Bechely,
ronto, on Saturday, August 3. The
bride is the daughter of Mr, and
Mrs; peter McIver, Seaforth, and
the bridegroom is the son of Mrs.
Bechely, Seaforth, and the late Dr,
Francis Joseph Bechely. Rev, I.
Poisson perfumed the ceremony
and celebrated nuptial mass..
Mrs. Alice Stiles, Seaforth, sist-
er of the bride, was organist, wear-
ing a pink and brown printed silk
dress and a corsage of pink carna-
tions,
Given in marriage by her fath-
er; the bride wore a floor-length
gown of crystal white French
'chantilly lace. The bodice, which
tapered to a V at the waistline,
featured a scooped neckline and
cap sleeves. Lace scallops formed
the hem of the fully gathered
bouffant skirt, which fell in soft
folds. Her fingertip veil of im-
ported silk tulle illusion fell from
a lace pillbox, and she carried a
cascade bouquet of white carna-
etiro,nssisi m . s.ster of

of honor, wearing a romance blue
the bride, was maid
waltz-length chiffon gown with
matching headdress •and carrying
a colonial bouquet of yellow chry-
santhemums.
The best man was William
Stephenson, Toronto; and the ush-
ers were Ronald Sills, Kitchener,
and Bruce Billings, Hamilton.
A wedding breakfast for the
families took place at The Little
Inn, Bayfield, and a reception at
the summer residence of Mr. and
Mrs. E, S. Coffin, Bayfield.
The mother of the bride receiv-
ed, wearing a coffee-colored.' im-
ported lace sheath dress with
matching jacket, a corsage of yel-
low Queen Elizabeth roses, , and
copper accessories. She was as-
sisted by the mother of the bride-
groom, who wore a waltz-length
gown of opalescent blue peau de
sole, small pink and green petal
hat, pink gloves and a corsage of
Briercliffe roses. -
For a wedding trip to the Adir-
ondack Mountains, the bride chose
a sapphire silk sheath dress with
matching cape and hat, patent ac-
cessories, and a corsage of red
Pearl of Aalsrnier roses.
Guests were present at the wed-
ding from Detroit, Hamilton, To-
ronto, Birmingham, Cleveland,
Sarnia, Chatham, Tillsonburg,
London, St. Thomas, Preston,
Stratford, and Goderich. On their
return the couple will reside in
Toronto.
