Public Hospital on -Sat- urday, July V, 1957, Born in Gederech Toweebip, June 7, 1877, he was the only son of Andeew. McGregor and Marg- aret.Ann Ceriee. In 19e4 he moved to Bayfield with his father and sister. They resided in the old Queen's Hotel for awhile before buying the home. on the corner of Colina and Ann Streets, where he has resided ever since. He was possessed a a greet sense of humour- and until ill health, overtook leen, he worked as a labourer besides .caring for his aged father, and ailing sister. And- rew McGregor !predeceased his son in 1945 and Miss Maude McGregor, his sister, died in 1954. The remains rested at Ball and Mullah funeral home, Clinton, un- til Monday afternoon, July 29. The service was conducted' by the Rev, W. Peacock," pastor of St. Andrew's United Church of which the deceased was a member. Intennent Was made in Hayfield Cemetery. The pall-bearers. were: John McGuire, Douglas McDougal, Russel Heard, Leslie. Stirling, Har- old Stinson and Lloyd' Making. Amongst the relatives who, at- tended the funeral were: Mrs. Haggerty and son, Memphis.; Mr. and Mrse Stanton, Bad Axe; and. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred McGregor, Detroit, all off Mich.; Mrs. Sam Emerson, Douglas lereDaugal, Gad- witch Township; Mr. and Mrs, Theron Bottles, Seaforth; William 3. Elliott, and Miss Frances El- itott, Fish and Game Club News (By Don Epps) Here's a bit of advice on keeping forest animals: Deer can be dangerous' and fawns, cute- as they may be, should he left to grow up in their own environment. Officers. carried on a deer hunt almost equal to a gangster chase this year after reports that a deer had chased several persons into their cottages!, savegely attacked a woman with its horns and front feet and knocked her to the ground A man also was attacked by the big buck and escaped only by crawling under a cottage. Warnings were broadcast. A veteran bushman, with four con- servation officers entered the bush country east of Buckhorn village where the buck was found near an unoocupied cottage and; when it showed fight one of the offic- ers shot it. This was the result of an in- nocent baby wild animal carried out of the bush and taken away from the natural care of the Mo- ther. Raised by humans, such ani- mals soon lose the 'ability to forage for therneelwes in their natural state and after reaching adult stage and maturity, many wild animals raised in captivity become cross and ugly tempered . . There are imany cases where persons have been severely injured or even killed by wild animals raised in captivity. It is contrary to law to keep a wild animal in captivity, the place for wild animals is in the bush unless they are kept in a public zoo or park under proper care and supervision. This is esp- ecially true in the cases of deer and bear. * * • Tice monthly meeting of the Hu- ron Fish and Game Conservation A,seaciation will be held at the farm on August 6 at 7 p.m. Come early and de. some work for your club, Wire, William' Charters called on Miss Mary Gibson en Sunday.
