Wilke .burn Bridge Removed From Active Service
First of July' saw the end of a long term of
service for ,the Walkerburfa lertidge, as a crew,
working under the direction of George Radford,
Blyth (centre foreground), loosened the founda-
tions of the bridge, and finally raised the entire
slteel structure and carried it to a new location.
The oddest bredge still standing in Hullett Town-
ship, it es, located on the tenth concession of
Hufllett, nearly three miles west of Londesb,oro.
Running the 'big crane which did the lift job (at
left) was Fmk, Tyreanan, Blyth, A bulldozer
w,as"used to push the bridge off the west bank
of the river.

Permission was given last week
by the Clinton Public . Utilities
Commission for water, hydro and
sewerage services to the new
house being built by Fred J. Rad-
ley ons Whitehead Street. A re-
quest front; Russell Holmes for a
two -finch water service to the
dairy on Albert Street, if neces-
sary, was granted.
Sonia discussion centred around
the proposed increased water ser-
vice to RCAF Station Clinton. The
superintendent was asked to pre-
pare an increased cost anaslyis
with regard to water service to
the Station over the past few
years, with a view to increasing
the, rates to the Station.

Dairy Calf Club
Meets On Farm

The June meeting of the Bay-
fieild 4-H Dairy Calf Club was
held at the farm of Thomas Rath -
well, on June 25, and opened with
the 4-H Ftl'e;dge.
A clans of mature Jersey cows
Was judged, with reasons given on
the placings, Ted Dunn gave an
interesting talk on the dairy score
card. Roll call was answered by
giving the names of calves being
used in the sprojeet.
A test was given on the man-
agement of calves.
A refreshing chocolate drink
was served by Mrs. Rathwelil and
her daughters at the close of the
meeting.

bazaar and tea held in St, And-
