Local Witnesses
To Join Conference
At CNE Grounds
In Toronto on Juiy 3 to 7 the
local congregation of Jehovah's wi-
tnesses will join a large District
eonverution in the Grandstand at
the Canadian National E'khibitien
grounds. Upwards of 20,000 dele-
gates are expected to attend from
ight provinces ill Canada and 23
States of the Union. Delegates are
also coining from Bermuda and
Puerto Rico.
Goingto conventions is a reg-
ular experience in the lives of rep-
resentatives of 'the local group,
said the presiding minister, Mr,
Hari McNally, for the witnesses
Sallow closely the achnenitien of
the apostle Paul, "not forsaking
the gathering of ourselves together
er, as some have the custom, brut
encouraging one another; and alit
the more so as you behold the day
drawing near."
"The abject of these assemblies
is to encourage people to apprec-
iate the Bible as a practical gird'
to Christian hiving", Mr. McNally
maintained. "A man's religion be-
dOres a living force only when he
actively exercises it for the good
at his fellow man, and it is our
conviction that to ,really believe a
thing one must ,be willing to put
that faith to the practial test of
personally publishing it," he said.
