Duchar ne Loses Close To $25,000 Fire leveled a large L-shaped barn and driveshed on the farm of Urban Ducharme, RR 2, Hen, sail, on Tuesday, destroying 16 purebred calves, a Hereford bull, 400 chickens and some machinery, including a side delivery rake, two plows, hammermill,. hay loader. A 100 bushels of grain was also des- troyed. Preliminary estimates placed the damage at $25;000. Two tractors which were parked in front of the barn at the tame were saved. Mrs. Ducharme was outside at the time the blaze broke out and her notice was called to it by her 16 -year-old son, Oscar, The two people were within 100 feet of- the barn .but so rapid was the fire's progress that they were unable to save anything. Mr. Ducharme was in the field working and was unaware of the blaze. He noticed and heard the cars but thought it just some people celebrating the outcome of the election. Fire Chief Milton Delta of the Zurich fire department answered the call. 0 IN MEMORIAM In loving memory of James W.
