The Reverend John Davies chose
for the text of his inspiring ser-
mon Acts chapter 20, verse 28,

which the Holy Ghost hast made
you overseers, to feed this church
of God, which lie bath purchased
with his own blood."
After expressing thanks for the
privilege of being honoured to
have the pulpit at' this important
service, Mr. -Davies spoke on the
Church of God and thoughts cern
tering around its ministry,
Mrs. E. A. Featherston presided
at the organ.

The Rev. T. Davies adjured the
people: "Give him your best for
the night cometh when rio man

The Rector's twin brother, the
Rev. A. H. Harrison and wife,
were introduced, and other visitors
stood up as their names were
called.
The Rev, Peter Renner, St. An-
drew's United Church said that
he was happy to' welcome the
Rev. E. 3. B. Harrison to Bayfield.
There had always' been friendly
relations between himself and for-
mer Rectors during his eight years
in Bayfield. He regretted that he
was leaving and would not know
the new rector better, but said
that lie would pray God's blessing
rest on Trinity Church and the
rector as they walked end served
together.
Bishop Tawnshend appeared and
was asked to speak, " I am very
happy that J. Harrison will be«my
Rector when '1 am here on. my
holidays. And he will find other
clergymen worshipping here too,
every Sunday," said the Bishop.
The Rector expressed himself
as feeling very humble at this his
second induction. "I want part-
icularly to thank the ladies of
the three churches, who have
made this evening so hospitable,
and to the three singers, Mrs. Car-
rie, Mrs. Hovey and Mrs. Higgins.

wish to thank the clergy who
came so far to be with us to-night.

Pitching was the dominating
factor of the opening game with
each team collecting just three
hits. Doug Walton started on the
bill for Clinton and was relieved
by Ken Patterson in the fifth
when be was bothered by wild-
ness. Ken struck, out the side
and went on to post the victory.
Parker, who fired them across
for Hensel was equally effective
but he gave• up two doubles to
Walton the first of which drove
in the first two Clinton runs, John
Wilson banged out a single in the
seventh driving in Walton for the
game winning' run. The other

New Rector Inducted At Special
Service in. Trinity Parish Hail ,
Legion sponsored the first table
tennis tournament of the Ontario
Command of the Legion last Sat-
urday afternoon. The team of,
Duke and Lang, from Branch 58,
Hamilton, won the doubles title,
with Mr. Duke winning the Ontar-
io Legion singles championship.
Douglas Thorndike, District "C"
sports offecer, and convener of the
tournament, termed it as very
successful. He hopes to make this
en annual event for Clinton

Proctor and J. "Mac" Cameron
were semi-finalists in the doubles
play. Mac Cameron placed third
Clinton Legion Men Share in Prizes
At First Ontario Table Tennis Meet
Clinton Branch of the Canadian in the singles competitions, Clin-
ton's second team was Douglas
Andrews and Hector Kingswell,
who placed third in doubles. A 60-
year-old veteran from Fairbanks
Legion in Toronto was runner-up
in the singles competition.
F/O "Bud" Hayter, sports of-
ficer at RCAF Station Clinton,
was referee-in-chief, while his as-
sistants were Bill Grigg, Bud
Schoenhals and Murray and Rob-
ert Draper.
Six Clinton merchants gave mer-
chandise prizes to the top com-
petitors. They were W. C. NeW-
