The bride was given in marriage
by her father. She wore a floor-
length etraplesS bridal gown of
imported nylon Schiffli and French.

Schiffli, Her bouffant skirt of
nylon tulle featured' three ruffles
of Schiffli, and the dress had a
small pointed stand up collar with
bolero' fashioned - with lilypoint
. sleeves. Her fingertip veil was
caught. to a crown of pearls and
- sequins and she carried a bouquet
Of red roses. She wore the groom's.
gift of matching pearl necklace
and earrings.

setting on May 15 for the Kippen
East Women's Institute, entert-
awing Seaforth Women's Instit-
ute„, the Thrifty Kippenettes 44E1
Club and other visitors. President
Mrs. Campbell Eyre presided and
extended the welcome, and Mrs.
Verna Alderdice acted as secret-
ary in the absence of Mrs. Will-
iam Kyle.
Mrs: James MoNaughton com-
mented on •the motto. "Don't
work through this year, in last
years rut". Miss Marie Jarrott
and Miss Ka4thryn Anderson mem-
bers of the Thrifty Kippehettes
Club demonstrated "Sleeping Gar-
ments," project taken by the
club last winter, Mrs. William
Bell, one of the leaders 'thanked
the Institute for inviting the club
to participate in the dem2nstrat-
ion.
On behalf of the eInstitnte, Mrs.
J. Drummond 'aongratulated the
Misses Elaine Bell, Lois.McLellan,
Ann Sinclair, Marie Jarrott, who.
have achieved their Provincial
honors Completing 12 projects,
and Miss Marie Sinclair who re-
ceived County Honors having com-
pleted 6 projects, and presented
them with gifts.
Miss Margaret McKay gave
highlights of the Conference held
recently at Guelph. She said Miss
Helen MaKercher, director of
Home _Economics for Ontario in
addressing the delegates stated
that Home Economics is a part of
education.
810 was voted to the Cancer
Fund; two delegates to the Dist-
rict annual at Dashweod, May 29,
were appointed, Mrs. W. Mellis,
and Mrs. William Bell. The group
voted in favour of the rug making
course to be held in the fall. They

H. Caldwell conducted contests.

streamers were caught to the ceil-
ing by white wedding bells.
The bride's mother received in
light blue French lace, with pink
accessories and a corsage of pink'
roses. The groom's mother assist-
ed in navy blue with bolero, and
white accessories, with- corsage of
white carnations.
Seventy-five guests attended
from Port Colborne, Toronto, De-
troit, Sarnia, London, Clinton Mit-
chell, Varna, Windsor and Hay-
field.
For travelling the bride donned
a light grey fitted suit with pink
accessories and a coesage • of pink,.
carnatioes. After a wedding trip
through the Southern United
States, the young couple will live
in London,
Mrs, William E, Parker, moth-
er of the groom, entertained the
bridal party at her home on‘Keith
Crescent on Friday . evening, fol-
'lowing rehearsal.
