Twig teams have been picked from the players who handed in their registration certificate and a third is expected to be•formed in the very near future. social evening that included a chicken dinner and a dance brought the Clinton Mixed Bowl- ing League to a successful close on Saturday night. Trophies and prize money was presented to top bowlers for the season and to the teams who took awards;• Nearly 40 persons were in' attendance at the dinner meeting which was presided over by league' president Bert Harris. ' An elebtion followed the pre- sentations with HoWie Grealis be- ing named president and Bert Clubs. Complete Sweep To Bowling Trophy Clubs came all the way from seventhh place at the end of the regular schedule to take the Milt and Mabel Trophy, emblematic of the league championship of the 'Clinton Mixed Bowling, League. It was a glorious finish for the underrated Clubs. They grabbed the first game of the finals from Cleaners and forced them to come from behind on two occasions be- fore taking the fifth and deciding game of the series by 50 points. Scores by games were 1,130-1,024, 907-1,129, 1,068-894, 1,171-1,176, 1,090-1,039. Members of the winning team are: Earl Mero, captain; Jim Arm, strong, Clarence Freeman, Larene Cox, Len Fawcett, Don Ellwood and Asa Deeves. Cleaners line- up is: Bert Harris, Bert Gliddon, Marj. Carter, Gerry Harris, Beul- ah Wench, Dick Carter, Murray Johnston. Top bowlers in the heals. were Earl Mere, 1,121e, Jim Armstrong, 1,103; Bert Harris, 1,094; Murray Johnston, 1,086; Mad.
