on Saturday, May 11, by the Rev, P. Renner. The bride is -

mony was performed by Rev. J. T.
White,
Given in marriage by her fatle-
er, the bride wore a floor-length
gown of white brocaded satin end-
ing in a short train, from her
beaded headdress was draped a
finger-tip veil of silk illusion) she
carried a white Bible with Talis-
man roses and white streamers.
Her only jewellery was a pearl
necklace, gift of the 'groom.
Her attendant, Miss Helen Rid
doll, Guelph, wore a Waltz-length
gown of white lace over pink taf-
feta. with matching picture hat
and carried a cascade corsage of
pink and white roses,
Noel: Crawford, brother of the.
groom was best man. The ushers,
were George Underwood, Wing-
'ham, brother-in-law ,,of the bride,
and, Robert Crawford, Norval,
cousin of the groom.

The reception was held in the
church parlors, the guests were
received by' the brides mother,
gowned in a grey figured tery,
lone with pink accessories and a
corsage of pink carnations, She
was assisted by the groom's me-
ther in a gown of dusky rose crepe
with navy accessories and corsage
of , white carnations.
After the luncheon „served: by
the ladies of the Woman's Assoc-
iation, the happy couple left on a
raptor trip to Eastern Ontario,
Quebec and the U.S. For travel-
ling the bride wore a dress' ,of
pink linen with a navy duster and
pink and navy accessories, her
corsage was of pink . and white
eoses. On their return they will
reside in Toronto.
Guests were present from Bly-
th, Goderich, Wingham, Hamil-
ton, Toronto, Bobcaygeon, Norval,
Guelph and Five Oaks,

performed in Grace United .Chur-
ch, Porter's Mil last Saturday at
noon, ;when Yvonne Jessie, daugh-

the bride of Gordon. Alfred Dough-
erty, Sheppard'ton, son! of George
Dougherty, Sheppardton, .and the
late Mrs, Dougherty. Rev, Peter
Renner, leayffeld, conducted the
ceremony,
Given in marriage by her fath-
er, the 'bride wore a floor length
gown of Chantilly lace and' nylon
tulle, with appliques' of Chantilly
lace in the skirt, Her matching
jacket was styled with Peter Pau
collar, trimmed with seed pearls
and seeuine An embroidered
fingertip veil was caught by a
wreath of white roses, and she
carried a bouquet of red roses.
Miss .Grace Harris, Goderich,
Sister of the bride, was her only
attendant, gowned in yellow em-
broidered nylon over net and taf-
feta underskirts, with matching
bolero, Her headdress was of
sequins and pearls and she carried
a bouquet of tawny gold roses,
Lorne Dougherty, Sheppardton,
was hi s brother's groomstnan,
Ushers were Robert Harris, broth-
er of the bride and Harold Dough-
erty, cousin of the groom,
Mrs, William Cox was organist
for the occasion.
For a reception held ie the
Club Grill, Goderich, the -bride's
mother wore grey fiscose linen
with beige accessories and a cor-
sage' of red -roses.
For travelling the bride donned
a blue tweed' suit with navy and
white accessories, The young
couple left on 'a wedding trip to
the United States; and upon their
return will live at Sheppardton,

was the scene of a pretty wedding
at high noon, Saturday, May 11,
when Jane Arlene, daughter of
Mrs. John Hartley, Clinton, and
the late Mr. Hartley, became the
bride of Frederick John Ra•dley,
Clinton, son of Mrs. John Radley,
Singhampton, and the late Mr.
Radley.
The double-ring ceremony was
performed' by Rev. C. S. Inder, in
a setting of yellow and white
Shasta chrysanthemums and light-
ed seven brancher candelabra.
Given in marriage by her uncle,
William Ford, London, the bride
wore an imported ballerina-length
gown, of rose-point Chantilly lace
and nylon tulle over duchess sat-
in, fashioned with basque bodice
with short cap sleeves of lace,
and matching mitt s. Her
full bouffant skirt, of tiers of
nylon tulle and net over satin
had side panels of Chantilly lace.
Burchill-Millar
A pretty wedding took- place in
St, Andrew's' United Church, Jas-
per Place, Edmonton,. on Satur-
day, May 4, at 2.30 p.m, when
Doreen, only daughter, of Mr. and
Mrs. Lloyd Millar, RR 3, Clinton,
became the bride of LAC Gordon
Lorne Burchill, youngest soneof
Mrs. A, J. Burchill, Ponoka, Alta.
The Rev. W. E. Burgess perfor-
med the ceremony.
Given in marriage by Mel Mc-
Coy, the bride wore a ballerian
length gown of nylon net over
satin with chantilly lace inser-
tions. The chantilly lace bolero
had a P,eterzpan collar studded
with seedpearis and sequins and
long lily-point sleeves. A should-
er length veil of nylon was held: in
place by a band of tiny net hearts
encrusted with' sequins. She car-
ried pink roses.
Miss Barbara Oliver, Edmon-
ton, as bridesmaid' chose a strap-
less ballerina length gown of ny-
lon net over taffeta with match-
ing_net bolero. Rows of net ruf-
fles around the skirt front tapered
to the back. • Sire wore' a match-
ing net hea'd'dress; white gloves
and carried a bouquet of pink and
white- carnations,
'Russell Stebnack, Ponoka, was
groomsman.
Organ music was provided by
the church organist, Mrs. Miller,
Following the wedding a recep-
tion was held at Cltib Mocomba,
where - the groom's' mother wore
rose and white jersey, accessories
to match and she wore a corsage
of pink carnations,
The bride and groom's table
was centered with a three-tiered
wedding cake, white candles and
the flowers of the wedding party.
The toast to 'the bride was offered
by Russell, SteImack to which the
groom replied, Guests were
present •frolei Cold Lake, Poreeta
and Etimenton.
For travelling the bride wore a
street length dress, of black linen,
with black accessories and. a black
and> white bolero.
LAC and Mrs. Burchill will re-
side In Grande Centre, Alta.,

The cover of the new telephone
directory, now being distributed in
Clinton and surrounding area,
features a sketch of the Huron
County Court House in Goderich.
This sketch, the work of Lorne
l3ouchard, well-known Canadian
artist, replaces the illustration of the Perth County Court House
carried on last year's cover.

ter of the bridegroom. They wore
identical gowns in yellow and
nile green taffeta, styled on
prin- full gored skirt a nd
yokes' of Guipure lace, Their
head - dresses• were large bow-
knot s' of Matching taffeta
and they carried bouquets' of Sha-
sta chrysanthemums and ivy, The
flower girl; Patsy Lougheed, Tor-
onto, neice of the bridegroom,
wore a frock of white flocked
nylon over yellow taffeta and car-
ried a nosegay of yellow rosebuds.
Kenneth Gibbings, Clinton, was
groomsman, and the ushers were
Billy Hanly and John Hartley,
brother of the bride, both of Clin-
ton.
Traditional wedding music was
by Mrs. Theo Fremlin, the church
organist.
A reception followed in the
parish hall, where the bride's
mother received wearing a street-
length ensemble of avocado green
silk linen with beige accesories
and corsage of yellow rosebuds.
She was assisted by the bride-
groom's mother, who wore an en-
semble, of navy blue ticatina crepe,
navy and white accesories and
corsage of pink rosebuds.
For a trip to points in the Unit-
ed States., the bride chose a rom-
ance blue suit, white accessories
and corsage of pink carnations. On
their return they will reside in
Clinton.
