ton, and Wai-''fined.$30 and costs,
Constable,' C. Perdue had appre-
hended Mr, Brown' on February 2.
In Goderieh last Week; Magist-
tate Holmes sentenced Karl Whit-
field, 22-year-old Blyth man to
six months definite• and six, months
indeterminate in the reformatory,
for breaking, ,entering and theft

of the evening went to Mrs. Frank
Cook and for the lowest score to

were sold on a cake which was
won by Mrs. Norman COunter.

Mrs.' Frank Jeffrey
Mrs. Frank Jeffrey, 82. died last
Thursday evening, February 14,
two days after she and her hus-
band ;had celebrated .their 63rd
wedding --anniversary at their
home, 62 Elgin avenue, Goderich.
Mrs. Jeffrey, whose friendly dis-
pdsition brought her many-friends
had been' in good health up until
recently. Barn at Drysdale, she
was the former AnnieBaclour. For
the past 50 Years, she and her has,
band had :resided'- in Goderich.
She was a member of St. Peter's,
Church and belonged to'the Altar

are three 'daughters, Glady,s, Mrs,.
William A. McGuire, Goderich
Township; Valerie, "Mrs,

and one, sister, Delephine, Mrs.
John Gravelle, Goderich. She else,
leaves five grandchildren and sev-
eral great-grandchildren.
Requiem high mass was sung
by Rev. J. P. Gleeson• in St. Peter's
Chnrch at 9 a.m. on Monday.

last respects to Mrs.' Jeffrey, and
there were many floral tributes.
Interment was in Colborne Roman
Catholic cemetery, with funeral
arrangements in charge of Lodge
funeral home.

O'Dwyer, Paul Badour and Leo
