There kvill be a gathering of
The l3lueliells again 'in the Com-
mercial Inn. Hotel on Saturday
February 16e„ from three to six,
o'cleck. Tips spontaneous growth
of working groups is growing and
small groups of women and girls
are fOrmlng up all over Clinton,
Goderich and Hayfield.
Led by, Mrs. C. VanDamme, who
made the group possible, they are
making an all out, effort to help
the Hungariantefugees. (Another
300 of these people arrived in.
Canada last Wednesday from
Austria.) •
The Bluebells thank the Ladies'
Auxiliary to the Canadian Legion
ter their warm encouragement,
the ladies who are trying to help'
the girls ih every way, and those
who donated' uniforms.
Mrs. VanDamme refers to The
lehiebelle 'as being "hoW in bud",
And reports that the5e are prepar-
ing themselves to help the shut-ins,
and the, old 'folic 'who. have been
the pioneers of our time.
Amy members of the Girls' Aux-
iliary, wishing to' pass their home
nursing, or, codk's badge are most
welcome to come to this gather-
ing,..,and to work at them, con-
currently with The Bluebells.

The February meeting- of the
Presbyterian Girls' Club was held
on Tuesday, evening, February 5,
With a good attendance. The presi-
dent; Mts. E. J. "Dick" Jacob,
opened, the' meeting 'and Mrs. D.
J. Lane' was at the piano.
The Scripture lesson was read
by Mrs. Dorothy Hymers and'Miss
Bea Gibson led i\n. prayer.
Final plans, were made for the
Valentine tea and bazaar. A social
half hour follovved with hostessee

A' tvyo-car accident at the in-
tersection_of the, Crediton road
and Highway 4, on Sunday morn-
ing sent three persone to South
Huron Hospital, Exeter, and one
to St. Joseph's Hospital, London,
with injuries,
A car driven by Leigh Cowes,
Hamilton, travelling east on the
Crediton road, entering Highe/ay
4, was in collision with a ear driv-
en by Mrs., Wes Thomas, London;
going north on 4, who Was on her
way to visit her parents Mr. and
Mrs. Howard' Lemon, Varna. Mrs.
Thomas and her five-year-old son
Bobby, were taken to South Milt-
on hospital, both with concussion
-and head- and facial lacerations.
Marshall McKay, 20, Hamilton,
,,a passenger in Cloves car, was
also brought to South :Heron ,Hos-
pital With shriek and , intensive
laceriations. More eerlottaly in-
jured was Leonard Barrette, Ham-
ilton, passenger', in. Cowes earl
who was removed by ambulance
to St Joseph's, London,
Barrett's Oar stolen, from ACAP

MAKE APPOINTMENTS
TO COVNTY TB ASSOCIATION'
Two township Federations of
Agriculture have recently appoint-
ed representatives to the Huron
County Tuberculosis Association.
Turnberry Township has named
Gordon Greig, Bluevale and Stan-
ley Township has selected Elgin
McKinley, Zurich. The appoint-
ments followed a request •by the
Huron County Tuberculosis Assoc-
iation's for representatives from
all the township federations in
Huron. Turnberry and 'Stanley
are the first to. take advantage of
the request.
Mrs. H. McAlpine, president of
the Ladies Auxiliary' to the Can-
adian Legion, presided foi' Mon-
day's meeting, when, further plans
were made for the formal dance
in March.
'One new applicant for member-
ship Was received. Bingo was en-
joyed after the meeting, and luneh
Was served. MrS. W. / Denonune
won the mystery "prize.

Mothers Bazaar
Planned In April
- A bazaar on April 13, is being
planned: by. the -members of the
Scout and Cub Mothers Auxiliary,
and will be held.., in the council
-chamber Ott* town 'hall. At the
group's meeting at the home of
Mrs. -Kenneth 'Pickett last Thurs-
day, the mothers' were asked to
donate one article - to the sewing
booth and 'something for the bak-
ing booth: •
• Several aprons were brought to
the meeting ready for the bazaar
and 'several good -.suggestions for
something different were brought,
ifoeward. Mrs. Thomas Darling,
president, was in charge'. •
The members are anxious' to see
more.thothers .take an _interest in.
this auxiliary and help the boys
along.

A Valentine tea was served at
the -close of the meeting. Irene
Batkin played several numbers on
her accordion. Miss Ac-
