Arctic Weather Does Not Daunt St. James" Group _ (By our Vlitldleton correspondent)' 'Despite arctic weather •conditions last Tuesday evening, January 15, there were 15 persons at the an- nual vestry meeting of St. James' Church, Middleton, held in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Wise. The Rev. W,. S. Outerbridge op- ened the meeting with prayer and welcomed ail present. Edward Wise, the people's warden,, gave, the financial statement showing. all obligations met in 1956 and a, `balance on hand. Mrs. Charles Cooper gave the Sunday School report, which indicated a great in- terest shown by both teachers and pupils. In the absence of the Women's Auxiliary secretary and treasurer, Mrs. Stewart Middleton gave the WA reports, showing an outstand- ing year from every viewpoint. The following officers 'of the church were elected for 1957: rec- tor's warden, Donald Middleton; people's warden, Edward Wise board' of management, Donadi .Middleton, Edward Wise, Ray Wise, Stewart Middleton, Edward Deeves, Mrs. John Middleton, Mrs, Fred Middleton, Joe Storey, John beeves, Bert Rowden, Mrs, Arn- old Miller and William Stirling. Lay delegate to the synod, Stewart Middleton; alternate del- egate, Edward Deeves, sidesmen, Ray Wise, Keith Miller, Ross M.
