Jehovah's witnesses-are attending
a three 44v semi-annul circuit
assembly in the Goderich District

The circuit comprises the eight
congregations of Kitchener, Wat-
erloo, Galt, Elmira, Stratford,
Mitchell, Clinton, and Goderich,,
The .assembly will feature a, full
program of Bible lectures, instruc-
tion and demonstrations: A high-
light will be the showing of a col-

will probably settle here.

James •Church, Middletoh, will
meet Wednesday afternoon, Jan-
uary 2, at the home of Mrs. John
Middleton. ' The roll- call will be
answered by paying the member-
ship fee.

Street, had the pleasure-on Christ-
mas night to receive a phone call
from their daughter, Marjorie
(now Mrs. Thomas Martin) who
is, living in New Westminster,
RC. Mrs. Currie reports that the
connection was so clear it was just
like talking to someone in town.

Mrs. C. Stephenson is confined
to her home, with" illness.
Mr. and Mrs. EL Appleton, Ex-
eter, visited with Mr. and Mrs. C.
L. Jinks recently.
Mrs. Catherine Hedden who has
been a patient in South Huron
Hospital, Eketer, returned home
on Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. R. Y.N McLaren
spent the Christmas holidays with
their daughter, Mrs. Dorland Ev-
ans and family in Kitchener.

spent Christmas with thehl son-in:
law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. J.
L. McCloy,and family in Toronto.
Corporal John Atkinson, Mrs.
Atkinson, Brian, Bobby, and Billy,
Quebec, are spending Christmas
with the latter's parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Rudy Petzke. Corporal At-
kinson has been posted to Van-
couver.
Lovely Christmas baskets were
sent out to the sick and shut ins
by various organizations. The

out six baskets which were pack-
ed tiy Mrs. S. Ramie, Mrs. E.
Shaddiek,-Mrs. Alice Ferg, Mrs.
Myrtle Orr, Mrs. EL 'Chipehase
and delivered by W. 'R. Dougall
and P. L. IVICNaughton.
The Ladies' Auxiliary to the
Legion also sent out six baskets
which were packed by Mrs. -E.
Davis, Mrs. J. Drysdale, Mrs. S.
Rannie,sMrs. J. Simmons, Mrs. J.
Clarke, Mrs Byran Kyle and de-
livered by Mrs. Davis, Mrs. Drys-
dale and Mrs. Simmons.
