Two 17-year-olds were in Clin.-
ton Court on Tuesday afternoon,
and) each received, a fine .of $35
and costs, (or in default, ten days)
At the hands of Magistrate D. E.
Holmes.
Leroy 'Ryan, Goderich, was stop
ped by Constable Perdue on the
right of October 6, after •the Con-
stable had observed him driving up
and down the main streets at rath-
er high speeds. Perdue followed
the boy along Victoria Street, at
speeds up to 50 m.p.h., and when
he' tried to Stop him, the Ryan
car sinalled aIeft turnandpu

ed a bit to the left. The constable
vent off the highway to the left to
avoid an accident, and hit a pole
causing some damage to the police
car. Ryan continued to the rail
way tracks, where he'`stopped and
