Farm Forum met at the home of
Mr. and Mrs: Robin E. Thompson
with 13 meniers in attendance,
During •the discussion it ,was de-
cided that the marketing of farfn
products needs improvement. Far-
mers have to pay what they are
asked and take- the price that is
Offered. Some types of producers
have co-operative marketing sch-
emes, e.g., peach producers; honey . ,
producers. "
There seems to be some opposi-
tion to the hog producers scheme,
Some do not seem to like to be
told what to do. Some feel that
marketing cannot be controlled un-
less production is- controlled.
- Investment is required, but thase
who shOUld invest haven't the
capital, and thoge who have, the
-capital would not be interested.
During the recreation, games of
"500" 'and Lost Heir were playek
Lunch was served. The next meet-
ing will be at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Irvine Tebbutt.
