Mrs. Robert J, Bell, who died
at her home, on Cambria Road,
Goderich, last Wednesday, was the
former Jennie E. Johnston, God-
erich Township. Her husband died
in 1955. R„ -
Pallbearers were Cameron Proc-
tor, Robert Miller, Andrew Strapg-
han, Thomas„ Schmidt, Harvey Er-
skine, Robert Bissett.
She had lived in Goderich most
of her life, and was a member of
Knox Presibyterian. Church
Surviving are one son, Reg, .God-
erich; one daughter, Mrs. C. D.
Connell, Clinton; one brothel- Fred
Johnston, Goderich,and one sister,
Mrs. John Bell , Norwich; two
grandchildren, Mrs. Cameron Proc-
ter,

ler, Windsor, and three great
grandchildren.
Service was at the Lodge fun-
eral home, Goderich, on Saturday
afternoon, by the Rev. R. G., Mac-
Millan. Interment waf in Mait-
land Cemetery.

ines on Thursday -afternoon, Oct-
ober 18, for Rhoda Isabel' Hartley,
widow of' the late William Henry
Hartley arid dear mother of Harold
E. Hartley, Clinton.
The Rev. J. Moore of that chur-
ch and Dr. R. Outerbridge, Ham-
ilton, officiated, and interment
was' in Victoria Lawn Cemetery.

L. J. Lemke, Fred• Davidson and
Lloyd Richardson. -

which Mrs, Hartley was a mem-
ber, and also the "Old Guard" of
the T. Eaton Company attended in
a body.
A former organist of the church,
Mrs. Lottie Wilson- accompanied a
former choir with ' which Mrs.
Hartley 'had served for many
years, sang "Unto the Hills" and
"Jesus, I am Resting, Resting."
Born on' January 15, 1837, -in
Galt, the daughter of Hugh Brody
Cameron and Caroline Kirkwood
Watt, Mrs-. Hartley-' was married
on /tine 2 , in.1911. Her husband
died seven years latof.
She wasp a saleslady with the '. .

latterly `was with L. J. Lemke
Draperies, in St, Catherines. She -
was a life memb 'r' of the Worr►an's
Missionary Society of her hurch,
and was a lifelong resident of St,
Catherines, She cavae from her
residence at 16 Haynes Ave., St
Catharines and :enter'ed. Clinton
Public Hospital two month ago,'
where she, died on October 15.
Surviving besides her sari, are
one granddaughter, Christine Hea-
tley; one brother, Allan Camerari,

Word has been received here of
the death of Elizabeth' Chidley in
Peel Memorial Hosipital,:Bramiptton
last Tuesday, October 23. Miss
Chidley is' a former resident of
Clinton, and at one time taught in
the Clinton Public School, The
old Chidley home was next: to the
bowling green. .
She is survived by a sister, Ag-
nes, Brampton; a brother, George,
Denver, ,Colo., and a brother-in-
law, ' J. A. Constantine, also 'of
Brampton.. Mr. Constantine Was
at one time employed with the
Bank of -Montreal, Clinton branch.
Funeral was from the MoKill;op

Brampton, to Brampton Cemetery,.

Elmer, Kenneth, Keith, Stewart
