Congratulations go to Mrs. Doris Nicholls; daughter of Mrs. Fred Merwen, Bayfield. She was the only woman in five upon whom the Degree of .Doc- tor of Philosophy was conferred at convocation at the University of Western Ontario on Friday. Doris received it for her work in biochemistry. She was hood- ed by her husband, Dr. R. W. Nicholls, profeSsor of physics. The players responded to. the warmth of the audience and drew many mare laughs than when it' was originally presented.
