Hayman in the showing of, slides
of her trip to the continent last
winter. Her talk arid pictures
were very much enjoyed. Of all
the places which Miss Hayman and
her friend from Kitchener visited,
they enjoyed Rome the most. The
last leg Of, -her 'journey was' spent
with• her .aistei in England'.
The meeting' came to a close
with a social hour around the
lunch table; which was attractively
decorated, with coloured' leaves,
flowers and fruit. Mrs. Roy Fitz-
simmons assisted the hostess in ser-

CONTEST AT KIN JAMBOREE
Robert Graham, Clinton, took
part in the square dance competit-
ion at Exeter Harvest Jamboree
last week. The set in which he
danced won a silver rose bowl. The
others were Stanley and George
Teller, Bayfield; William. Edwards,
Mrs. Norval Jones, Mrs. Jack
Coughlin, Mrs. William Triebner
and Misaa Rosemary Passmore, all
at Exeter'.'" The Harvest Jambor-

Trinity Club
The first fall meeting of the
Trinity Club was held at the home
off the president, Mrs. Rosa Middle-
-ton on Tuesday, October 2, .The
theme of the meeting was thanks-
giving. Mrs. Middleton presided
and opened with the hymn, "We
Plow the Fields and Scaeer the
Gobd Seed on the Land," followed
by prayer- by Mrs. Roy Fitasint-
mom.
Deuteronomy 8:6-9, 17-18, was
read by Mrs, William Parker. Af-
ter the secretary's and treasurer's
reports the roll call was answered
by 12 members. There were she
'visitors.
A motion was passed to give $5
to the Jessie Grainger Motorail
Fund of the Matto Public Plospi•
tal, The .program for the Meeting
was prepared by Mrs. 3. H. Cobb,
Who was not able to attend. Mrs,
