house full of guests. She was es-
corted to' a gaily decerated bride's
chair with streamers and balloons,
A mock wedding was presented
in the usual slapstick manner and
provoked much merriment. The
costumes would need to, be seen
to be appreciated, Mrs. Robert'
Welsh acted as usher; Mrs. Donald
Middleton as the soloist, with .var-
ious appropiate selections; Miss
Mavis Steepe was organist; Mrs.
Robert Taylor was the minister;
Miss Catherine Welsh was brides-
maid; Miss- Marilyn Welsh was4
ringbearer; Miss Judy Cluff an-
other bridesmaid; Mrs. Robert
Stirling was bride's father; Mrs.

Ontario Street
Plan Rally Day
Rally day services will be held
in Ontario -Street United Church
on Sunday, September 16, with: the
teachers and children co-operating
with the superintendent, Robert
Elliott and the .Rev. A. •G. Eagle
in the service.
With 16 members of the Sunday
School executive present at the
regular meeting . last Thursday
evening, the group decided to re-
quest the minister to ask from the
pulpit the following, Sunday for
volunteers from the congregation
for Sunday School teachers.
Larich was served by Mrs. Mc-
Pherson, Mr. and Mrs. George
LaVis and Mrs. John Lavis and a
pleasant social half-hour was en-
joyed.

held in the church with the Rev.
C. S. Inder conducting. Mrs. Theo
Fremlin presided at the organ.

children enjoyed the hospitality of
Mrs. 'rider. Mrs. Lillian McKin-
non assisted by pouring tea.
Races were conducted by Mrs.
Tom Twyford, Mrs. Roy Bellinger,
Mrs: Eric Switzer and Mrs. Gord-
on Herman. Later refreshments
