Drew, the general manager, com- menced his duties in Stratford on July 1, and the Association has been located in temporary offices there since that time. I Much of Mr: Drew's time has been .devoted to organizational de- tail in setting up headquarters. He has also visited the Depart- ment of Planning and Develop- rnetn in Toronto and other Devel- opment Associations, now organ- ized, to learn details of their op- erations. In addition he has' vis- ited the Industrial Development Branch .of the Department 'of Trade and Commerce in Ottawa. A report oh progress to date has, recently been 'forwarded to the mayors and reeves of member municipalities as well as wardens of the Counties of Huron, Perth, Waterloo(' and Wellington, which will embrace' the Association's activities. Plans are' being made for the establishment of a compre- hensive development program for the four counties and in Septem- ber it is expected that active or- ganization of zone c'Ornmittees will be undertaken throughout the re- gion. The mishap occurred just in front of the Huron County Home. Melvin 'Melndoe, RR 2, Goderich, sloWed behind a farm vehicle. A following car driven by 'William McGuire, Goderich, drove into the back of the McIndoe car when the brake line broke: Damage to the two cars was es- timated at $325. No one was in- jured, Both drivers are RCAF' personnel. • Church Camp- Increases In Size. Huron Church Camp (Anglican) leaders report that despite rain the camp this year was the best yet. ,\Wonderful growth has been shown in the silver: maples planted one for each church in the dean- ery. Report also is that plastic dish- es in use at the camp have re- duced breakage. This year there have been 700 children taking ad- vantage of the training and holi- daying at the Camp. One new cot- tage ha"s been bat this year, and four new cabins. The present chapel is not large enough to ac- commodate all attending.
