This year a Poultry Club Mark-
et Day has been arranged for
September 11.1 when all poultry
raised by the 4-H Clubs in the
County will be sent to market,
:-..Birds will be placed in crates
with' no more than 14 birds in
each, tagged with the member's
name and the . number of birds.
Sent to a poultry killing plant in
Watford, all of the birds will be
killed, cry-o-vac packed and froi-
en. On hand will be -two P?ultry
inspectors and a representative of
the Health of Animals Branch of
the Department of Agriculture, to
grade and help keep track of the
birds.
The plan is to have six of the
best birds returned to each 4-H
member for Achievement Day.
They also will be packed and froz-
en. "On achievement Day the
members will each show two, and
one Will be for the sponsoring/or-
ganization for the annual banquet.
