Death which occurred in Clinton
Public Hoskital on' Thursday eve

been a patient following a heart
attack the week before, brought

Mr. Webster was born in Luck-
now and spent his, early life 'there;
coming. to Stanley Township in
1920; where- he farmed .until re-
tiring to the village of Varna last
winter and accepting the post of
road superintendent for the Own-
ship of Stanley.
He', had been a member of the
Steel* Township Council for 16,
terms, and had served as reeve of
that township for five terms.. '
-He was a niember of the United
Church in Varna AISO he was a
director of the Hay Township Fire
Insurance Company; president of
South Huron Agricultural Society,
Hensall; director of both the Bay-'
field ,Agrieultural Society and the
Huron Central . Agricultural . Soc-
iety, Clinton. •

Private funeral service for the
late Mrs. George Fee who passed
away very suddenly in Hensel), on
Saturday, July 23, wass held from
the Bontbron funeral -home, on

TIT her 66th year, Mrs. Fee was
the former Irene Lipphardt, Zur-
ich,- and had been a resident of
Hensel' for many years. She was
a member of the United Church.
• Surviving are one son Charles,
London, and two stepdaughters.
Mr. Fee passed away May 5, 1955,

The death, occurred in St.
Mary's hospital, London, on ,Satur-
day, July 28; of E. -Anne Makins,
widow of the late Thomas Johns,
Exeter, in her 79th year.
Mrs. Johns fell in January suf-
fering a fractured hip and- has
been hospitalized ever since. She
vas a,- native of HurOn ,County,
having spent most of her life in
Exeter. Her husband ptedeceated
her 30 year& ago at,KIP'pen, Mrs.
Johns was a member of Herman.
United Church.
'Surviving are one `daughter Mrs.
Albert (Mabel) Shirray, Hensall,
five grandchildren' and six great-
grandchildren'. One daughter Mrs.
A. Gower, St. Catherine& passed
away nine years ago.
The funeral was' held Monday
afternoon from the Bonthron fun
eral home, Heniall, by Rev. C. D.
Daniel to Baird's Cemetery. Pall-
bearers were Jim Bengough, Sam
Dougall, Lloyd McDonald, Alex
Munn, Kenneth Elder, Lorne
Chapman.
