On Thursda r night, fire broke out
in tho Oddfell ws' block, owned by H.
McEwing a occupied by Lewis
Knott & Son, hardware merchants,
and the I. U. . F. and R. T. of T.
lodges. The , . T. R. and town fire
brigades, wi i the assistanee of the
hook and la der ooinpany, succeeded
in confining flames to tho one block.
The following are'the losses : Knott &
Son loss on tock by fire and water
between ".,000 and $6,000, insured
in the Ro) 3for ;p2,000 ; loss on build-
ing about ,000, covered by insurance.
