Residents of Hensall and dis-
trict learned, With, regret of the
passing of Mrs, Cecil 'Von.Horne,
who passed away in Clinton 'Pub-
lic nospital, on Thursday after-
nom, May 3, having been a pat-
ient there for the past seven weeks
with a. heart condition. In her

Funeral, service was held in the
Beattie Funeral Home, Ratienbury
Street Bast, Clinton, on Sunday
afternoon, for Mabel Isabel Lee,
who, passed away 'after a lengthy
illness in Kincardine Hosiptal, on
May 4, in her 59th year. Rev.
T. White, Londesboro. United
Church, officiated,
Pallbearers were Gordon Rad-
ford, Joseph ShaddieX William
Ross Trewin, Jack Arm-
strong and Fred Prest, glower-
bearers were William Cowan, .Rus-
sell Pecicitt, Allan Dunbar, Ken-
neth Scott and Douglas Mann. In-
terment was in Hope Chapel', Hui-
lett Township,
Born in Hullett Township, on
August 15, 1897, the deceased was
a daughter of the late 1.4r, and.
Mrs. John Grainger. She married
Ernest S. Lee, who died in 1942,
and in 1944 Harry Riley, Londes-
boro, who passed away in July
1946.
She had lived in Londesboro un-
til moving to Clinton-six years ago.
The past six months she has been
in Kincardine. She was a member
Of Londesboro United Churcii.
Surviving are •three sons, Jack,
Londesboro; William, :Clinton, Mur-
ray with the Royal Canadian Navy
In Nova Scotia; two daughters, Mr.
Hazel Cole, Marrnera, and Mrs.
William (Clarice) Wall, Kincard-
ine; two sisters, Mrs. George ..(Jew-
el) Cowan, Londesboro; Mrs. Gor-
don (Myrtle) Robinson, Niagara
Falls; two step-Sons. Wallace and.
Bruce Riley, Niagara Falls.
Persons attending the funeral
from a distance came from Marm-
ora, Niagara Falls, London, Stay-
ner, Clandeboye and Kincardine.
Huller
The death of a former Clinton
man, Delbert (Bert) E. Huller oe-
eurred hi McKellar Hospital, Fart
William,. on Monday, April 30,1956,
following a serious operation. His
first wife, the former Julia Le-
gault, predeceased him in 1953.
He is survived by his present
wife, formerly Martha Burton:, one
son Vernon, Aylmer and three
grandchildren; two brothers, Ernie,
Mactrier; Leslie, Detroit and two
sisters, Mrs. .(Violet) SPaitb Gode,
rich, and Mrs. Reg. (Florence)
Shipley, Clinton,
Mr, Huller served overseas with
the 33rd Battalion in, World War
and was a member of the Canadian
Legion: in Schrieber, where he has
made his home since 1953.
Funeral service was held from
the Hughson funeral home, Aylmer,
on Friday, May 4. Rev, Ward of-
ficiated. Interment was in St.
Peter's • Cemetery, London.
Pallbearers were: Merritt Nedi-
ger, Lawrence Denomme, William
Managhan, Edward Elliott, all of
Clinton; Frank Allan, of Benmiller
and Ken ,Reberten, Aylmer.

Evening Auxiliary, and a member,
of the Hensall BoWling ClUb.

are her parents, one daughter,
Mary Anne; a son, George, and one
brother, Elliott Layton, Bracefield.
Public services were held on
Sunday, May 6, at 2 p.m. from the
United Church, conducted by Rev.
a D. Daniel, who paid fitting trib-
ute to the life of the deceased,
Following the service the cortege
proceeded to Clinton Cemetery
where burial took place. The pall-
bearers were Don Joynt, Howard
Scane, William Fairborn, William
Lee, George Hess, Robert Cook.
Flowerbearers were Aldon Crich,
Walter Pepper, Norman Pepper,
Carl McClinchey, 13111 Hanly, Ed.
Layton, The casket and grave
were banked with beautiful floral

Mrs.. Mary Forbes
Mrs. Mary Victoria, Forbes, a
native of Blyth, died Sunday in
Clinton Public Hospital where she
had been a patient for the past.
three weeks., Mrs. Forbes marked
her 92nd birthday on March 8,
having been born in 1864.
She was formerly Mary Victoria
Sanderson, a daughter of the late
William and Caroline Brigham
Sanderson, pioneers of concession
13, Hullett township. • She lived
in the Walton and Blyth area all
her life, and for the past several
years lived' with her only daughter,
Mrs. John Young, and Mr. Young,
formerly of. Hullett township, 'but
now of Blyth. Her husband,
Samuel Forbes, died in 1986,
Surviving are her daughter, Mrs.
John (Caroline) Young; two
grandchildren, Roy and Helen
Young; two sisters, Mrs. Annie
Skelton, Morris township, and Mrs.
Earl (Clara) Empey, Goderich. Al-
so surviving are one step-daughter,
Mrs. Thomas (Gertrude) William-
son, Walton, and one step-son, Ad-
rian Forbes, Egmondville, A. •sis-
ter, Mrs. William Taylor, died a
month ago.
Funeral service was held in the
Tasker Memorial Chapel on Tties-
day afternoon, May 8, with Rev. A,.
W. Watson, minister of Blyth Un-
ited Church, officiating. Burial
followed in Union Cemetery, My-
th. Pallbearers were' three neph-
ews, Albert 'Skelton, John and Wil-
fred Sanderson and three grand-
sons, Roy Young, Roy and Bert
Williamson. -4-,

Zurich Crusade
Rev. C. D. Daniel was appointed
chairman of the South Huron Cru-
sade for Christ, at the meeting of
pastors; laymen and ladies in Evan-
gelical United Brethren Church,
Zurich, on Monday evening, when
the resignation of Rev. H. B. Rop-
pel from this post was received.
Rev. E. Gingerich, reported that
sixteen prayer groups had been
formed in the area. The publicity
committee reported- a decision to
order 1,000 bumper stickers as part
of their advertising campaign,
Evon Hedley, Brantford, the inter-
national vice-president of Youth
for Christ was present. _
