Shanahan Requiem high mass was sung in Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church, St. Thomas, on Monday morning, for Mrs. Ada Shanahan, Clinton area resident for the past 40 years, who died at the residen- ce of her sister, Mrs. Stella Elms,. 33 Horton street, St Thomas, on Friday • evening, April 27. Inter- ment was in Holy Angels Ceme- tery. - Mrs. Shanahan, who had been in poor health for several months, had been staying with her sister since last fall. She was born at Glanworth, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs, Joshua Kindree. Mrs. Shanahan was a member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic. Chur- ch, Clinton. She also was a mem- ber of the Altar Society and the Catholic Women's League and was active in the Clinton Hospital Aux- iliary. She is survived by her husband, John F. Shanahan, RR 1, Clinton, and two sisters, Mrs. M. J. (Onah) Callaghan; Toronto, and Mrs. Elms, Mrs. Lillie Johnson Mrs. Lillie Johnson, 73, Hensall, widow of the late William John- son, died Tuesday in South Huron 'Hospital, Exeter, where she had been a patient for two months. She was born in Clinton, the former Lillie Moore and she mov- ed to Hensall 12 years ago from Brantford. She was a member of Hensall United Church.
