people were Mr. and Mrs. Arthur
Bolton, Miss Muriel. Reynolds,
Boyd Taylor, Miss Lois. Jones and
Jelin Pyre,
Everyone. came into- the audit-
Prima. which was decorated to the
Theme of Easter and danced to the
music of "Mae Taylor and His:
Swing Kings" from the
Guelph.
The winners .of the.speeial dances
were, Mr. and Mrs, Grant Webster
Varna in the Sleet dance; Miss La-
belle Coward, Exeter and Hi Dix--
on, Olenclehoye in the elimination
dance; and Frank Alton, Lueknow
and" Lorne Love, Varna in the Hat
Dance, Lunch was served in the
,gymnasium.

Mr. and Mrs. Murray Elmer Colquhoun were married in
Ontario Street United Church, Clinton, on Saturday, March 31,
by Rev, A, G. Eagle. The ,bride is Edith Carolyn, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Frank Janes, RR 2, Clinton, and her husband is the son
of Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Colquhoun. Following a wedding trip into
the U.S.A., the young couple are living in. Clinton, where the
groom is employed with the Clinton News-Record.

The 'Junior Christian Fellowship
Group met in the school at Eben-
ezer on Wednesday, March 28,
after school with 20 boys and girls
present. Henry Gerrits was wor-
ship leader. Hugh Lobb read an
Easter poem and George Rueger
the Scripture.
Mrs. Ray Bird gave a delightful
-and instructive suitable story for
the • season, entitled 'The Robin's
Nest." A treat was passed by ,
Barbara Howard and Dennis Rueg-
er.
On Easter Sunday the Junior
Choir gave their neighbour, Mrs.
Thompson, who is a . shut-in, a
pleasant surprise. They met at
the home of 'their leader, Mrs.
Mervyn Lobb. and sang the Eas-
ter music they had prepared for
church and a hymn over the tele-
phone,
Mrs. Thompson expressed her
deep thanks and hoped another
time they would conic to her bed-
side and eing.for her. They plan
to do this sometime when she is
well enough to receive them.

long visit with Mrs. Hepburn's

Mrs. 'Clara Beatty, Cannington,
vice-president of the Rebekah As-
sembly of Ontario, who. has 'been
paying her official.visit to Huron
District No. 23 this week, was a
guest while here at the Sutter
home.
Miss Florence Rorke, Toronto,
who recently returned from spend-
ing a holiday week at Miami, Flor-
ida, was, with her parents Mr. and
Mrs. H. E. Rorke this last week
end. Her trip to and from the
south was by plane.

GODERICII PLANS REPAIRS
TO COURT HOUSE. PARK AREA
Restoration of the Courthouse
park grounds at Goderich, for an
estimated cost of $7,000 is. being
considered in the county town.
This will include the expenditure-
of $3,000 for seven sidewalks in
the park, and putting on of 1,200
yards of top soil, leveling, fertil-
izer and grass seed. The official
opening of the new County Court-
house is scheduled to take place
next month.

Given in marriage by her father,
the bride was lovely in a bellerina-
length gown of brocaded satin,
made on princess lines, with long
sleeves, coming to points, over the
hands. Her veil was of nylon
lusion net and she wore the groom's
gift .pf a pearl necklace and ear-
rings. She carried a white Bible
decorated with red roses and satin
streamers knotted with lily of the
valley.
The matron of honour; Mrs.
Donald Kay, Clinton; sister of the
bride and two bridesmaids, Miss
Mary Jean Colquhoun; niece of the
groom and Mrs, Douglas Jones,
sister-in-law of the bride were
gowned alike in ballerina-length
red velvet dresses, with full skirts
gathered to scalloped
and three-quarter length sleeves.
They carried white fur muffs and
wore head-dresses of white fur.
Thomas Colquhoun was his bro-
ther's groomsman. and Hugh Col-
quhoun, brother of the groom and
Douglas Jones -brother of the bride.

A "reception' for 35 guests was.
held at Hotel Clinton. • The bride's
mother received wearing a dress of
rose crepe with navy accessories
and corsage of yellow roses and
the groom's mother assisted wear-
ing open blue silk with white ac-
cessories and corsage of pink roses.
For travelling the bride donned
a light blue tweed suit with navy
and white accessories and corsage-
of red roses.
On their return from a trip to
the LTeS.A. Mr. and Mrs. Colqu;
houn are living in Clinton, where
the groom is employed at the Clin-
ton News-Record.
Guests' attended the wedding
from Toronto, London, Clinton,
and surrounding districts.
