Oft Cafeteria, the birds wore-- satisfied with less feed per day, and
at 12 Weeks old, they were stronger honed, better feathered, and More

crossbreds went through to 12 Weeks old on 10 tons of Cafeteria
'Chicks Starter and Chick Grower crumbles, phis a small amount of
scratch grain . . . approximately 8 lbs. total feed per bird . and
their average weight was right around 3 lbs. One lot of Leghorn X

Londesboro Kids
Play Well
At Goderich
,Londesboro Peewees made their
best showing at Young Canada
hockey week this year. Under the
guidance of Bill Cowan, the Lon-
desbero kids tied Belmont 3-3 and
eliminated that team by outshoot-
ing them 16-7, but were eliminated
themselves by Hensall 4-1.
Keith. Allen performed the hat-
trick for Londesboro in the Bel-
mont game as he sparked his team
from a 3-1 deficit at the end of
the second period.
A goal with less than two min-
utes remaining by Harry 1VicEwan
was the margin of victory far Clin-
ton Colts on Saturday night. The
win tossed Kincardine into the
discard and advanced Clinton into
the WOAA Hornebrew finals
against Phillipsburg.
The 3-2 score was a fair indica-
tion of the game. The Colts held'
a slight edge in -territorial play
and shots on goal, they deserved
their win. Both German and Mc-
Donald played brilliantly and were
solely responsible for keeping the
score doWn kicking aside many
shots that seemed certain goals.
., An injury to popular defence-
Man Danny Colquhoun,inarred the
Colts win. Dan was charged heav-
ily into the boards in the first
period; he finished the game but

when checked by a doctor was
found to have sustained a severe
shoulder injury that will probably
keep him out of action for the ri-
mainder of the season.
The game Saturday night was
by far the best of all the games
played between the' two teams.
The Bulldogs were determined 'to
get back on even terms and pulled
out all the stops in an effort to
win. They were skating at top
Speed through the entire 60 min-
utes and it took an all out effort
by the \ Colts to turn the tide in
their favour.
Clinton took the lead about the
middle of the first period. John
Hartley and Bill Counter worked
the pu:ck into the Kincardine'zone
and Bill drilled a hot one that
found an opening in McDonald's
armour and trickled into the net.
Kincardine came back more deter-
mined than ever and turned a
slashing penalty to Bob Garon to
their advantage when Bell, who
really can fire the puck, caught
the top corner. Just before the
period ended McEwan Was left
uncovered near the Kincardine net
and he capitalized on 'the Bull-
dog's lapse by beating McDonald
with a low shot:
The pace 'didn't slow down for a
minute in the second period. Both
teams had good scoring opportun-
ities but German and McDonald
rose to great heights to keep their
teams in the game. McEwan did
score one for Clinton: 'but,referee
Tennant ruled the Clinton orward
offside.
Joe Zold tied the game early
in the third. He managed to tip
a pass-out behind. German although
covered by Matt Edgar and Me-
Ewan. The tieing goal inspired
Kincardine to even greater effort
and in the final 15 minutes the
play really sizzled. Both teams
were showing signs of fatigue when
1VIcErwan came up with his payoff
goal. It was' another Kincardine
lapse that set up the play with
the puck rolling loose 15 feet out
from the Bulldog net. MeRwan
scooped it up, sidestepped Wilson,
Who played the puck instead of the
man, moved directly in front of
McDonald and backhanded the
rubber into the corner.
Bulldogs only reached the Clin-
ton zone once in the final two
minutes as the Colts set up an ef-
fective forechecking barrage. John
Hartley scored another goal for
Clinton just as the final bell sound-
ed but referee Tennant did not
count it.
