In First Game
Round Robin 10-3
Phillipsburg Chevs showed too
much hustle for the in-and-out
Clinton Colts last Friday night
when they drubbed them 19-3. It
was the first game of the round-
robin series that includes Kincar-
dine,
Wilt Arnold, former New Ham-
burg star, led the Chevs' scoring
parade with four goals, Ron Eh"at
three, Tom Boehleh, Bert Chris-:
tenor and Cal Honderich each
scored once. Tom Colquhoun,
John Hartley and Rick Elliott
scored for Clinton.
The first period was very -even
with bath teams counting once. In
the second Phillipsburg completely
outplayed the listless Colts scoring
five times and holding Clinton off
the score sheet. It was only the
goaltending of Don Denornme that
kept the scare from reaching
double figures in this period as
the Clinton team were: completely
disorganized.
As the third period opened Clin-
ton seemed to regain some of ,the
!man that has taken them 4o the
final series. Elliott and Hartley
scored to narrow the margin to
6-4, but the. Colts faded again
and the Chevs took advantage of
their loose play to score four more
before the final bell,

Live Wire Farm Forum
(By Mrs. Bert Shobbrook)
The Live Wire Farm Forum held
their meeting on Monday,- March
12, at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
J. Vranken, with 21 adults pres-
ent. The discussion was on "Work-
men's compensation".
It was thought that compensat-
ion or accident. policies were a
good thing. If everyone ,carried
accident insurance such as OAA
or DAA, they would be covered
other than just on the farms of
•the farmers paying into compen-
sation. Some thought more infor-
mation on the benefits and the
costs should be known.
In the Forum only one farmer
keeps hired help, most trade work
so compensation, would be of no
advantage. However if hired help
was used it would be an advant-
age.
Ted }Junking conducted the bus-
iness. period. A collection will 'be
taken next week 'of 50 cents pc'
family for the flower fund. Next
meeting will, be held- at the home
of Mr. and Mrs. John Snyder.
