Mrs. W. Good, Auburn; reported a new Mission Band in Beigrave, and a new Explorer's Group in Goderich. Clinton Mission Band celebrated their 50th anniversary in December, and a successful tally was held in Auburn in Oc- tober. Mrs, F. Ross, Auburn, re- ported 119 Home Helpers, with 156 calls made, and one Home Helper becoming an active mem- ber. Mrs. R. E.. Wilson, Goderich, retorted an increase in the sale of literature, and stated that used Christmas cards could be sent to Rev. G. Malcolm, Formosa; Sun- day School rolls and pictures to Rev. 3. Dickson, Formosa, and Sunday School paper no Rev. J. Eiden, British Guiana Mrs. J. Bisset reported contri- butions from each department making a total of $4,311.95, ap- provinately $100 more than last year, Lunch was served at noon by the Clinton ladies and' the after- noon session had three special it- ems of business. These figures will be sent to Presbytery. Miss B. Campbell, Seaforth, re- ported one less society, Mission Band and CGIT, when Caven Church, Exeter, transferred to Stratford Presbyterial. Auxiliar- ies reported interesting meetings with fine papers from the study book on India, along with mission- aries' letters bringing up-to-date information. An afternoon meet- ing with Stephen Noti Lall of India, and an evening meeting when the men were invited to hear Rev. Russell Gelf, on furlough, brought the needs of India home to all present. , Easter and fall, thankoffering were held with fine speakers. Books and magazines were . sent to hospitals, nursing homes, the County Home, and the jail. Teas and bake sales 'along with Sun- shine aprons helped the expense funds and visitors' meetings were held with other auxiliaries. Sup- plies were given to Mission Bands and CGIT groups, flowers arran- ged in church, help given .in the church nursery, a book display, pot luck suppers, Home Helpers meetings, an Easter 'pageant were activities giving everyone a chance to help in the work. The Adult Conference in Nov- ember was most helpful with Miss McConnell of India, Miss Read of Vancouyer and Miss MacEachdrn, regional secretary as leaders. If each member will take her stewardship of time, talents, and possessions . seriously, great things can be done with God's help in the corning year. Mrs. Campbell expressed the thanks of all present to the Clin- ton ladies, and board of managers, and Mrs. Lane presided for the election of officers.. It was an exciting venture for Ida who noticed many changes along the way, especially two fine new houses on Dinsley street.
