He won The Wilhelmina and J. Gordon McIntosh Prize, and also. The William C. Ben- son and Company Prize for the highest standing in second year Accounting. 0 Clinton's Coronation Day Programme (Continued from Page Ope) present on this Saturday for the Clinton Spring Show, would stay in Clinton until Tuesday for the Coronation Day program. There will be a Ferris wheel, and no doubt several other rides, and of course the hot-dog stands and oth- er concessions, which help make a good day that much better. And At Night In the evening the Clinton Branch of the Canadian Legion will take over festivities for a gigantic street frolic. Remember the fun you hard last year at the Kinsmen frolic? The Kinsmen and the Lions had an exciting tug-of- war. Remember? Well, we'll wager that this evening that the Legion is planning will at least be equal to that. The Legion members have got- ten permission to block off the portion of Albert Street between the main intersection and Ratten- bury Street, and will set up games of all varieties along the sidewalks and on the lawn of Library Park. These promise to include bingo games, paddle games, tossing rings, tossing dimes, in fact all the games that commonly are connected with frolics. Of course there will be places to buy hot- dogs, soft drinks, candy and gum, hot coffee aid hamburgers, too. Games and booths will be ready for operation at seven o'clock. Special event of the evening will be the crowning of "Princess of Huron County", which will take place at nine o'clock, possibly on the Town Hall steps. Entries for this contest may be of any age up to 21 years, and will be accepted up until 15 minutes before judging commences. This will be a great thrill for some pretty young miss. Prize for this is a wrist watch be- ing donated by J. A, Anstett, Jeweller. Dancing on the street will com- mence at approximately ten o'clock. A welcome interruption will come at eleven, when draws will be made to pick the winners of the refrigerator, lazy -boy chair and suit of clothes which the Le- gion has been selling tickets on for the last few months. Proceeds from this draw are slated to help finish construction of the new Le- gion Memorial Hall on Dirk St. If you don't yet happen to have a ticket on this draw, there are still a few available, and Corona- tion Day may be your lucky day. (We'd like to place another wager, If you manage to wake in the morning that day and keep track of the Coronation celebra- tion in England by radio and tele- vision, and then keep up with all the doings in Clinton from eleven o'clock oh ---if you stay with it the whole day and take part in every bit of rnerryment that comes your way—you'll have had a good day, a busy day, and certainly one to remember.) And as the eetiimittee has told tls- "in case of rain, it will be held in the arena.", Know and obey your traffic )hwa ...., for life. Huron County Municipal Officers Meet at Hensall P. L.
