THE VOICE OF
TEMPERANCE
Whoever persists in insisting,
that there is more bootlegging un-
der the Canada Temperance Act
than under the Ontario Liquor
Control Act may find it difficult
to explain this one. It was at a
meeting of the Hotel Keepers As-
sociation. It was in Liquor Con-
trol Act territory. The complaint
was about the bootleggers who
were taking business away from
licensed outlets. The situation
was critical. The hotel man in
the case, was in difficulty. The
five bootleggers across the street
were doing a thriving business.
The conclusion of the Association
was that they would hire a de-
tective to gather evidence that
would convict the bootleggers.
The contention of the Hur.rn
Temperance Federation is that
where there are more outlets and
more drinkers there will be more
bootlegging. The people of Hur-
on are wise in maintaining the
Canada Temperance Act This
advertisement is inserted by the
Huron Temperance Federation.
