Mrs. Robert Fitzgerald and Mrs.
Richard Gardiner, who spent the
winter with their brother-in-law
and sister; Mr. and Mrs. Albert
Campbell, have returned to their
home in Dungannon.
W.I. Turkey Banquet
The Auburn Women's Institute
catered for the turkey banquet of
the Sunshine Sisters .of Londes-
bora Women's Institute, in the
Sunday School room of Knox Un-
ited Church. About 50 members
of Londesboro W.I. were present
and Miss Margaret Brophy, Wing -
ham, was guest speaker.
The first meeting of "The Club
Girl Entertains" was held at the
home of Mrs. Carl Mills on March
26, at 8 p.m. with twenty memb-
ers present. As this was the or-
ganization meeting, Mrs. Mills
presided for the election of offic-
ers.
The officers chosen were: presi-
dent, Rena McClinchey; vice-presi-
dent, Laura May Letherland; sec-
retary, Carol Beadle; assistant
secretary, Ruth Million; press re-
porter, Ruth Daer; pianist, June
Letherland.
Mrs. Archie Robinson gave a
short talk on hospitality. One re-
quirement of this course is to
make a classified reference file
which includes materials on these
topic s: decorations, wrapping
gifts, receipts, house furnishings,
games, etiquette, flower arrange-
ments, menus, party suggestions,
miscellaneous.
Mrs. Robinson also read an art-
icle on dishwashing, stressing
cleanliness as one of the most im-
portant factors. In a demonstrat-
ion Mrs. Mills proved by measur-
ing that the table of weights and
measures is quite accurate.
For the next meeting at Betty
Sturdy's, the members are to
bring ideas on a name for the
club and will answer the roll call
by "One thing I would appreciate
in a guest room." The singing of
"The More We Get Together '
brought the meeting to a close.

Ladies Out -Snipe Men
At Challenge Match
•
Members of the Clinton Ladies'
Rifle Club entertained their hus-
bands and friends at a challenge
match on Wednesday night, and
emerged the victors by over 10J
points.
Individual honours went to E11 -
wood Epps, who shot a perfect
100 with 7 10X's to his credit.
Several of the ladiesshot perfect
scores, Grace Castle getting. 6
10X's, Isobel Epps scoring 5, and
Marion Brown 3. Each contestant
shot 10 rounds at 20 yards in the
prone position.
PIans were made to hold a ban-
quet in the near future at whica
time the presentation of the
awards that the ladies have won
will be made. The Ladies' Rifle
Club is enjoying a very success-
ful year, with 16 members, and al-
most all of them have won at least
one award.
The evening ended with a very
enjoyable social hour, the losers
of the match supplying the lunch,
