joyed a hayride last Wednesday
afternon. C. Elliott and Bob El-
liott drove the tractors which
hauled the hay -lined wagons.
The teachers, officers and moth-
ers prepared a supper which fol-
lowed the ride, and everyone seem-
ed to enjoy both. Rev. A. G. Eag-
le showed pictures after the sup-
per.

been missing from his home since
February 12, The boy was wear-
ing an army jacket, (shoulders
show where badges were) ; an
army shirt; knee - high rubber
boots; no hat. He walks with
short steps. Of medium size,

complexion, with brown eyes and
brown hair, his teeth are good.
Weight is about 110 pounds, height

Plumbing Regulations
To Be Enforced Here
The Huron County Health Unit
Board, meeting at Clinton, was in-
formed by Dr. R. M. Aldis, the
unit's director, that enforcement
of the new provincial plumbing
regulations, which come into force
May 6, will be an obligation of the
local health department. Permis-
sion was granted to the unit's two
sanitary inspectors, W. L. Empey
and R. M. Hale, to attend a course
in Toronto in March regarding the
new set-up.
Miss Norah Cunningham, super
visor of nursing for the unit, pre-
sented a report of the two-week
course she attended recently in To-
ronto under the leadership of Miss
Aileen Hogan, a nurse who is at-
tached to the Maternity Centre
Association of New York. The
provincial Department of Health
officials explained that they expect

Dr. T. R. Melady, public health
veterinarian for the unit, gave a
report on the milk and meat con-
trol programs as they exist to date
this year. Judging from the con -
census gained through his contact
with the whole -milk producers, Dr.
Melady feels that the unit can
anticipate a good response to its
requests for milk coolers on the
farm. At the present time, many
of the farmers are either buying
coolers or planning to buy them.
