Lunch PORTER'S HILL The Porter's Hill Community Club will hold its regular meeting on Wednesday, February 18, at the home of Mrs. Glen Pickard. Porter's Hill YPIT The YPU held its meeing on Monday evening, February 2, at the home of Mrs. Maurice Hicks with 17 present. James Harrison, convener of faith and evangelism, took charge of the meeting which opened with a hymn after which he led in prayer. The Scripture lesson was read by Mildred Mc- Dougall. An interesting story was read by James Emmertoe. During the business diseussion it was decided to buy YP song books, pins and crests, Beverly Proctor convener of the recreation group conducted games and a contest after which the hos- tess served a delicious lunch. TUCKERSMITH Ladles' Club Donates $25 The February meeting of the Tuckersmith Ladies' Club was held at the home of Mrs. Gregor Mc- Gregor with 14 members and six visitors present. The roll call was answered by an exchange of val- entines. Several thank-you letters were read and reports were given by the various committees. It was decided to donate $25 to the European Flood Relief. McGregor and the hos- tess. CONSTANCE Mrs, E, Adam spent the weelt- end with her son Kelso and Mrs, Adarne, Centralia, Mr, and Mrs. T. Adams, Londes- boro, were guests on Sunday with Mr, and Mrs, C. Dexter. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Riley, Kitch- ener, spent Sunday at the home of his parents Mr. and Mrs, C. W. Riley. Walter Scott, Howard Arms- trong, Kenneth Thompson and Robert Campbell spent last Thurs- day at Ayr inspecting Maws farms. We are sorry to report Douglas Riley had the misfortune to break his leg while playing at school for the second time in six months. We wish Dosiglae a speedy recovery, Social Evening. Reid A social evening held en Friday evening in the basement of the church opened with a hymn and a piano solo by Mrs. William Jew- itt, A very interesting talk was given by Mrs. W, V, Roy, Clinton, on her trip to Mexico. Mrs. Lorne Lawson gave a reading. A solo by Mrs. Grimoldby; a, duet by Joyce Jewitt and Helen. Meliwain and a piano solo by Mrs. Whyte brought the social to a close. A delicious lunch was served.
